KNOWN ISSUES:

1) EXE/MANIFEST FILE VERSIONS:

** v1.06 EXE and v1.06 manifest file must be used in order for everything to load correctly! Look at the README file from the file downloads for more information. **

2) DORNAS:

** Dornas won't show up properly unless you play offline. If you play online the SYNC.BIN will overwrite dornas and they will appear in the wrong stadiums. **

3) SHOES:

** The previous issue (see below) has been resolved. The Hook Tool now makes shoes show up properly as well as a bunch of the newer CFs. There are many and will be many more CF additions to this roster and they all start
at 10,000+. These CF won't work without the Hook Tool properly installed. **

4) CFs ARE MISSING/NOT SHOWING:

** You must make sure the The Hook Tool is properly installed. There are many new CFs that require this use of this. **

5) CUSTOM MUSIC DOESN'T PLAY:

** Could be a variety of reasons. Most likely you don't have waigua 1.2 installed or the music you are trying to play isn't in the right format. Make sure you use the 2k music converter once you have the proper .mp3 file (music converter converts .mp3 to .wav AND in the right file size). Go here for more help: viewtopic.php?f=258&t=109336 **

6) PLAYOFF 99% LOAD ERROR (ON ALL ROSTERS BUT THE 1996 AND FUTURE YEARS...97, 98, etc.):

** The work around for this issue is to start the game via simcast, then jump into the game that way. Please note, that the simcast game will load using your "simmed game" settings, so if you only play with 8 min quarter, but sim settings are on 12, you will need to adjust the sim settings to get 8 min quarters. **

7) KEN NORMAN CURSE: THERE IS A KNOWN ISSUE THAT CANNOT BE EXPLAINED:

** ON THE 1995 ROSTER, THERE IS A PLAYER CALLED "DO NOT DELETE, DO NOT TRADE" ON THE BUCKS ROSTER (WITH KEN NORMAN'S FACE). JUST LET HIM RETIRE THROUGH MYLEAGUE. TRADING HIM OR DELETING FROM ROSTER WILL CRASH THE GAME (FOR ME ANYWAY).**

** The years pro will be incorrect when you load the roster up. However, this is to account for 2k being inept. When you start a myleague (and play/sim a game) the years pro will be correct. I will correct this across all rosters in the near future. **[/quote]

RESOLVED ISSUES:

1) SHOES: YOU DO NOT NEED TO USE 2KLAUNCHER ANYMORE - HOOK TOOL HAS REPLACED THIS

2) PLAYER NAME CHANGE: THE UPDATED HOOK TOOL SHOULD PREVENT ALL NAME CHANGES FROM HAPPENING

** The shoes added in the file downloads won't work properly if you don't use NBA2K_Launcher. The launcher stops the SYNC.BIN from overwriting a part of the mod. The launcher will have the SYNC.bin path as the following:

C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/userdata/XXXXXXXX/841370/local/SYNC.BIN

The XXXXXXXX part will be a random number for you, so make sure to change it to your number. It is usually the first number folder in that directory.

When you have the correct SYNC.BIN path set, press the button "SYNC replace". Make sure "Lock SYNC.BIN" is ticked. You're now ready to play the game by pressing the button "RUN NBA2K19". **

I just updated roster with accurate ages, rotations, etc.

One piece of feedback would be nice to have. I guess I need to make John Bagley (and maybe sherman douglas too) and send Shaw packing since Boston traded him and Bagley was dropping 9 dimes a game then.

Well, I made my token 92 Celtics team. Uploaded just now. its late and I am tired, so I will edit and polish more in the morning. Feel free to check it out now though.

I am seriously debating about trying to do a 1992 season now haha. There are about 1/2 the players/teams in there with some tweaking. Its easy to create player with limno trainer and using the import/export features now.

Ok it looks like we have nearly the same idea ! I am actually working on the 90-91 season. For the moment i am finishing the shoes. I have a good base from my 2k18 work.

We should work together and create a retro modders team !!!

Awesome. Alright then. Well, today I started working on a mostly 92 season mod.

I think it would be helpful to coordinate all of this. Here are some of my immediate thoughts and suggestions.

Most importantly, make the "shell" of the roster before you start changing everything through CE tables, etc. Save this shell. You will see what I am doing with my 92 season mod. I am just trying to get as many players on the right teams with easy changes (attributes, names, etc.) before I start messing with art work etc. Can easily change art work through downloads in myleauge (assuming you are doing myleague). You can always change the courts later, but if your files crash 9 games into a myleauge it kinds sucks. Then if you don't know where you made changes you are stuck with an unusable mod.


1) I am basically just trying to come up with at least an 8-9 man rotation for my 92 roster. Then I will back fill and update it with the less used role players. There might be a little variance on the final roster vs. pre-season roster (i.e. - Magic still played in the NBA pre-season in 91, so I left him on there. I want the Lakers to be competitive).

2) Anyone you create, make sure you add them to a retro draft class that isn't already in there. As we share draft classes, then we can import DNA from those players to seasons being made. Obviously there are a couple of ways to share and copy players that are fast like this. Crappy side is you can only upload 5 draft classes and 5 players at a time.

3) As CE tables come out, please make sure you test your rosters in myleague for 10-15 seasons. Nothing more disappointing then setting up a myleague, playing through first season then it crashes.

4) I suck at art work, so if you think there is a pre-made face/id that looks better than someone I've used, please let me know.

5) We REALLY need a Reggie Miller and Charles Barkley. Any takers?

7) I will upload what I have so far later today. Just know its FAR from done. I am just trying to get guys already in the game on their right teams first, then I will go add more players, then I will update ages, contracts, etc.

8) Again, I am using this more for a 92 myleague play vs. anything else. I LOVED how most star stayed on their teams most of their career, so don't be surprised of guys like Malone, Jordan, etc., are just max contracted for as many years as possible.

I am sure I'll think of more later.

92 Season was Bird's final year IIRC. If so, that's a great year to base a roster on. It was around the prime for most of the original Dream Team guys, obviously excluding Bird, Magic and Laettner who hadn't entered the league yet.

Good luck with the project, it's a huge undertaking (especially if you're planning on filling out the draft classes) but it sounds amazing.

Yeah, it will take awhile and go in phases. I got some help for tendencies and attributes, so that will help a lot.

Picked this because Larry's last season Magic did start it (pre-season anyway). Dream Time in prime time. Young Kemp, GP, Suns formed the next year. Was a great Era. Shaq in the upcoming draft.

Does anyone have suggestions for teams that didn't exist yet? I was going to just fill them with no named crappy players with max contracts for 6 years (or less since Raptors started in mid 90s). Downside is, they always end up with really high draft picks, so people have manually draft players (making really bad picks) or let history change.

In case it's any help, here's my player rating formula tool. Outside of dunks/verticals, giving everyone too high of mid-range ratings, and for certain circumstances post offense stats and on-ball defense, it's proven extremely accurate for me. Just a suggestion that using it as a base might make things easier and more universal.

Most of these jerseys are already in the game and in many cases they offer a lot more detail (stitching/shading etc.) stuff I could probably do but can't afford to because of time. My jerseys offer more accurate colours/wordmarks and they all follow the same template, making them look a lot more consistent. So it's all about preference I suppose.
