(RobDavis) Fictional College Hoops 2K19

Okay so I haven't modded a next-gen title before but I'm having real problems with the tool and finding textures.

Im trying to import a DDS texture but nothing is happening. Is there a certain DXT / Generate Mipmaps combo they files need to work or something when exporting?

Im also having troubles finding the texture in gooeyoverlaystatic for the screen wipe. Any tip on how to find files quicker? (Compressed Size/File type)

I also got an error about not having preferences set up when I booted so any idea on what to do there?

SOrry for overloading you with questions but I can't find any tutorial anywhere and I really want to get into 2K19 modding

Try looking at the TNT/NBA screen wipe just posted not that long ago, that may help with that

And I'm currently working on Kansas starting 5 as well as coach bill self

My biggest issue is that unless someone can get into the code and change the rules, it will always just be an NCAA skinned NBA. It doesn’t feel right to play pretend with NCAA teams with incorrect shot clocks, fouls, etc.

Hopefully somebody can get the background stuff changed to get a realistic college ball experience. I would want more of a 2k college hoops, not just a reskinned 2k19, but just my opinion. I know others are satisfied with a reskin.

The people working on Madden have found the ability to change rules like allowing one foot for possessions. I know in MyLeagues, the ability to change NBA rules similar to college occurs every once in a while so that option has to be buried in the game somewhere.

That´s cool. We could help Rob making players with the DNA option when we finish a cyberface. He will be focused on courts, arenas and jerseys I think.

I think we need someone to just full on make rosters, I dont think my rating system will work as it is compared to the nba I think someone like zion or the top players in college should be around the 90's like the nba players are

This is true I think rule changes are a must

I'm completely useless with the 2K17 explorer rip there arnt any good tutorials to learn from.

Well Ksmiz found a way to change some rules through CE. It has to be a way to get it done, Ive changed the shot clock myself to 30 secs so I can confirm it works. Question is if we can get it to stay permanent.

This is HUGE! Based on that table, you could potentially change the Bonus Type to “1 and 1”. That and the shot clock would go a long way to making a realistic college game. I wonder if 2k17’s college MyCareer would be of any help? I know they had the college bonus system working there.

And with trevorjpt33 close to working out 2k18 conversions we can use the cyberfaces made for blue's draft class last year that went back to college to add realism

o there is a ton more settings and rules that you can mess with

I only sent you a few of the options that might be relevant to ncaa rules but there is a bunch of stuff to mess with that I didn't include in there

I think there is a temporary rule change area and a default rules area so if I can figure that out I think that might be what would help turn this into a real thing

Because there are those options for the league meetings etc. It should be possible to edit the shot clock and rules and all if that.

Gonna take a stab at jerseys now since its 30 courts done. Never really made courts before but it wasnt too bad since I know my way around PS.

Yea for now with the nba 3pt line until we determine if we can change the rules. Im using a template so it wont be to hard to swap the 3point lines from nba to college if we can use the college rules in game.

Changed the seat color in game looks really nice with a crowd

Messed around with a Jersey for Louisville. I'll probably just do a simple home and away jersey for each team to keep it simple for now. Just gotta figure out the part about using a in game jersey to get the font and color your looking for and of course not show the sponsorship patch.
