Texture editing help

Hello, I am creating a texture of myself and I’m not sure how to change the skin color of the texture of the editing. I know I can edit it with the png.iff file but exactly how do I do it. I am also unsure how to blend the face to color to my skin color.I also don't know how to remove beard and mustache and any other facial hair.
