How to use search function in Explorer

Postby rickberge on Wed Oct 03, 2018 6:24 am

Hey guys,

I know how to use explorer by just going through each tab and finding the team and exporting the png file that way but what about players that are not on a team?

For example, Im trying to find the PNG file for 7553 but when I put it in the search box nothing seems to happen. Im still kind of new to this if what Im asking is dumb. Just want to know how to locate pngfiles without having to guess.

Thanks

Thing is, if the file you want, isn't in the archive you have opened, it won't do anything.
7553 is located in 1K archive, so if you type png7553.iff in that archive and search for it, you will find it.

Oh okay thanks.

So the 1st step is determining the archive. How would one go about doing that?

Download this https://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v7.5.8.html and install it
Go to your 2k19 steam folder and find a file called manifest, right click on it and Edit with notepad++
then just CTRL + F(Find feature in notepad++) and type the file name(png7553.iff or whatever), it will show the full name and archive, where it's located.
