2K19 Blender Issue

Postby SamYeung on Thu Jan 24, 2019 1:05 am

Hi all, I have started making mod while watching the YT videos from TGsoGood. I imported the model into blender but how to import the hair to blender as well? I followed the video and imported "hair_01.SCNE" into blender and nothing happened. Anyone know what happened with this issue and is there anything else that I should notice while I'm making mods?

besides, is it possible to change players' body type in 2K19? I copy Jalen Brunson's "appearance_info.RDAT" into JJ Barea's one from "eye white: 0" to bottom, but seem like JJ Barea still cannot have the same body type of Jalen's

THANK YOU!

ps: making jj barea

It's always been better for me to model the hair file in another Blender window. I open the app twice, one with the body, and the other with the hair and body. You always have to keep in mind two things though:
1) Make sure the importer location is always right where the hair is. Example: C:\Users\%%\Desktop\hair01.SCNE so you can export correctly later.
2) In the scene section, when you import body and hair together, one of them will change its name, because both have the name "hihead". You have to keep the name on the thing you are editing and the other rename it as whatever you want, If not, when you export you will get an unknown error as a result.

As far as the other question, sorry I haven't try. Nevertheless, never had to care about it.All bodies are kind of like the same. It's not like WWE 2k where they change drastically by model.
Best of luck anyways!!!

Where are you exporting it to. It's either that or you haven't edited the hihead.scene file correctly.

Yeah, don't export to the same place you're importing from. Import from desktop, create a new folder titled "export", and export there.

This is correct.

Create a new folder and export it to that folder, it should work every time.

Did you properly remove the LODs?

How would I do that? I just opened the png2736 with winrar and got the HiHead.SCNE and hihead_LODShape1.4418e493ee54aa17.model and dragged it to a folder.

Yeah that’s your problem. You need to use 7zip to open the png, then open the hihead file and delete the LOD details in notepad.

Do you have a discord to walk me through this? (Or any other way to communicate)

If you look up TGsoGood’s YouTube from last year, that’s how I learned.

If I didn't delete the LOD files in notepad prior to editing the headshape, is there any way I can still get it to work? I keep getting the error, file not found when exporting my edited headshape.
