NBA 2K19 Content (Non-Modding)

As always, our modding community has been hard at work, pumping out great releases. Modding is obviously an important part of what we do here in our community, but over the years, it seems like we've drifted away from talking about playing the games, and creating gameplay and mode-based content; sliders, tips, that sort of thing.

I'd like to try my hand at creating more of that content, and it'd be great if other content creators in our community got in on the act as well. The question is what kind of content is our community most interested in, outside of modding? Slider tweaks? Create-a-Player formulas? Gameplay tips and tutorials? Hints and tips for succeeding in MyLEAGUE, MyCAREER, and MyTEAM? I'd be interested to know.

It is good to have slider tweaks posted here since only few members post their slider sets. This can greatly enhance our experience gameplay wise.

In general, I'd also encourage people to create topics talking about what they're playing, sharing and asking for gameplay advice, that kind of thing. It's a Forum for discussion, so feel free to make use of it!

Maybe someone can bring back the NLSC Top 10 Plays. CAPs.

It'd be fun to do the Top 10 Plays again, but unfortunately we don't have anyone to run it. I'm already stretched pretty thin as far as producing weekly features is concerned.

Create a player formulas are certainly more popular on Operation Sports, as most of those users are console users and don't have access to the amazing mods that we have here on the NLSC. "Realistic" rosters also seem to be more popular on OS, as well as slider threads, etc.

I used to see people posting videos of mycareer, they would post videos of games players, progress, etc. I havn't seen that as much over the last two years, and I think it might be because people don't really like the mycareer mode as much.

I feel like the in-depth stories (and in particular, the terrible story in NBA 2K18) are a factor there. Everyone ends up playing through the same story, give or take a slightly different cutscene based on a meaningless choice every now and again, so it's hard to make original content that stands out from someone else's experience.

Anyone have any thoughts on this years MyGM story? It looks really interesting to me but I can't get invested in it because I'm on PC and the custom jerseys are all still broke as hell ;(

How are they broke?

I believe there are still issues viewing them after making changes.

As a general lurker I thank the people of this site who put in the time and effort to make such mods and posts. Hopefully this place isn't full of ppl just trying to cheat in their online games.
I personally play only offline MyLeague and MyCareer so I'm grateful for the better updated players, courts etc and the roster files. Also I could never play MyCareer mode if it weren't for the Limnono tool. Of course I use it to edit my player to the direction I specifically want, (short slashing PG with descent 3 & D but absolutely no hops or a mid jumper ) but I use it mainly to make trades and signings that's at least logical and fix stupid AI trades etc. And I usually just raise my player to 90 for the ability to change player minutes then edit back down so I'm the 6th man. Also the ability to change sliders for MyCareer games are HUGE.
Again just wanted to say hi and say that most lurkers might not say anything but we still appreciate all the hard work
