What's everyone playing in NBA 2K19?

Wed Nov 07, 2018 7:50 pm

What modes are we all playing in NBA 2K19? What's your current mode of choice?

I've yet to start a MyLEAGUE - now that the season is underway and we have updated rosters, I certainly have more incentive - but I have been playing a bit of MyCAREER in order to beef up my player for the possibility of online play. I'm determined not to buy any VC this year, so it's a grind, but the gameplay experience hasn't been quite as frustrating as NBA 2K18. I don't feel like investing most of my time there, unlike NBA 2K17, but it's a lot more palatable.

I haven't played a lot of MyTEAM challenges yet, but I've been entering Locker Codes to get various cards and opening the pre-order packs so that if I do get stuck into it at some point, I'll be able to start out with a decent squad.

Our NLSC squad is really missing the ability to play Pro-Am or even walk-on games in the Jordan Rec Center with less than five players. Playing with random teammates is very much a dice roll. We've had a couple of people who were competent and team-oriented, but we've also ended up freezing out players who just wanted to selfishly jack shots.

for last few days, as I am waiting for my new graphics card, sadly nothing

at first I was playing a lot of MyCareer, but since reaching 91 OVR on my stretch four, grind was too repetitive and I kind of put it to the side and started playing a lot of MyTeam, especially Domination, finished regular and fantasy(advice for this one, put a bunch of tall guys on the court, and post up a lot, oh yeah, play a lot of off-ball defense and bait CPU so you can go for blocks with guys like, Bol, Bradley, Eaton etc.)

is it possible to somehow use MyLeague rebranding in MyTeam, there are a lot of good ones you can download, and I am terrible at making them myself

I must say I enjoy 2k19 10x more than 2k18 which I put to side in like few days and never had

Unfortunately not. The prefabricated team designs on 2K Share are for MyLEAGUE/MyGM only.

I finally started a MyLEAGUE with the Bulls. I decided to use the Start Today feature to make things more interesting (and challenging). A return to franchise gaming is years overdue for me.

Won a title in my rookie season with the suns averaging 40 points a game in the playoffs with a 73 OVRL PG lol woooo. I'm using the KD release which I have gotten completely on point for the first time ever in 2K and I be greening everything :D

Now I'm rebuilding the Hornets so MyCareer / MyLeague my main modes.

And if you're wondering I was struggling all regular season and I'm on all star but once you finally nail a release tis a beautiful sight :P

KD release, you say? I might have to consider that. I've been using Klay Thompson's so far.

I'm still a ways from unlocking the Jumpshot Creator, but I'll certainly keep that in mind!

Modding right now, both 2K19 and 2K17. Not playing as much as I'd like. The movement seems to be hurt by the latest patches, so I am also trying to fix that with sliders.
