1996/1997 Roster

Hello guys

I'm working on the 96/97 year, the 50th aniversary season. The roster will be as real as possible, for this I will use the RAMP statistics for the players' averages, which I will round up with the percentages they had that year. The free agents will not be available in version 1.0 but I hope you can help me to get them in version 2.0.

I'm looking forward to this, originally Dee4Three had planned to get this going, but with him taking absence I'm glad to see others stepping in. We need as many people to help out, especially with cyberfaces.

mickachiste has suggested to help, he has made the retro rosters in the past like 84-85 Roster. I think we should really be pushing for accuracy here, no half arsed jobs like in the past. Take a look at previous renditions of 96-97 rosters, a lot of inaccuracies and mistakes. Things like the 50th Year anniversary logo on courts give the roster a uniqueness, even though they used it for half a season I think it looks cool:



Apparently people really don't like nicknames, so I hope AlvaroXXV isn't making players through create a player. It's not a huge problem for me personally but I suppose hearing nicknames being used by commentators could become annoying. Also stadiums is a big problem because of modern stanchions/dornas/led displays not being accurate to the current time. Perhaps maumau could help with that?

I'm planning on making every single jersey, home/away/alternate/throwback etc. I hope it doesn't go to waste

Really do not know what to do with the players in the final version, many are from past or next seasons and do not coincide in the statistics that the game brings by default...

Well that isn't a huge problem. The problem is last year Dee4Three used european players who didn't have statistics at all, but they also weren't create a players so they were perfect for retro rosters. They're obviously not in the game anymore, so you can't go that route. It's definitely possible to edit statistics... Vlad found out how to do it with 2K14 but he was obviously on another level than us, maybe maumau or Carolus could investigate it or even just find a way to change what player type someone is.

The idea of the 50th logo is really great. I will have to add it on every court I made. Here is a preview of the hawks and warriors court
