NBA 2k18 MyGM

For all I care this topic can be used further for this game mode. I would just like to ask whether anybody has figured out how to use custom rosters? The Y button prompt at the lower end of the screen is gone and I haven't found a possibility to use custom rosters in MyGM. There seems to be absolutely no button for that. If they took it out I will go absolutely bonkers because this is the mode I have been playing on for several iterations of the game now and they fucked it up because they needed to add some shitty story to it.

Just in case: If any modder could figure out how to "override" the day 1 roster for MyGM and allow you to replace it with a custom roster that would be ace. I guess they removed it so there shitty "story" mode in MyGM would be even grindier.

I'm guessing now that they've implemented a story similar to MyCAREER, it may no longer be possible to use a custom roster in MyGM. I'll double-check though.

Yep, looks like that is the case. Again, I'd say it's due to the story being implemented this year.

There is no logical reason for it Andrew. Think about it how would a custom roster influence the story mode in any way. You can still trade, so players changing teams is obviously not an issue. The only reason is that they somehow managed to make MyGM a grind too and want to make it as hard as they can by not allowing you to use super teams.

I assume it would be possible to make changes to the roster that interfere with the basic story (like creating a super team, as you said), so they've made it more restrictive.
