I am such a noob, when is NBA2k18 out for PC/Steam?

Feel free to call me out. I might be asking the worst question of all time.

Is NBA 2k18 releasing on Sept 15th for PC on steam? I read that its Sept 19th on google. Please correct me!

No worries, the game releases for you on the 15th only if you preordered. That's part of the bonus, a 4 day early pass. If you didn't preorder, it's the 19th for you.

how long do we have to preorder before we're cut off from the early release? is it like, one second before the 15th est? I rarely buy games so i'm not savvy. and no, I don't pirate them either lol.

If it's any consolation, last year I pre-ordered two days before the early access and still got the early tip off bonus.

I still haven't pre-ordered 2K18 yet either but after seeing what the prelude had to offer I'll probably do it today.

You can buy the Game even when its released and play it instantly. And never buy the Game directly on Steam, alwas from a Keyseller. Dont waste your money, NBA2K is already fucking full of Pay2Win Microtransactions.

I remember a lot of people didn't get the early tip off when they bought from key sellers last year.

If you really care about playing the game early then I would purchase from Steam just to be safe.

I've preordered from one of those websites listed on isthereanydeal : GameBillet. If you are willing to wait a couple of days until Steam usually unlock the game for pre-download, I can let you guys know if they send me the early access key. I really hope they do so, they look professional and the pre-order bonus is listed on their game's info.

Obviously it's up to you, but you're only saving like $10 if you purchase off one of those websites anyways. I don't know maybe that's a lot for some people.

I regret those 10 bucks now that you've seen situations where people don't get their pre-order bonus. I've just picked the first website on that list and never thought about it lol - my impression was that 40 euros was the standard Steam price. I hope everything will play nicely. It's just that Steam rejects my credit card and I couldn't play it safe.

Edit: Just e-mailed Gamebillet and they've had an answer for me in like 2 minutes. They confirmed I will be getting the pre-order bonus as well as my game Key on the 15th. So if anyone wants to give them a go, they are legit.

To be fair with both threads about PC release, it did have a release date and early tip-off details in the description and now that's not there. Could be something but probably not, last three games released on schedule.

amazon lists the release as the 19th, but greenman shows the 15th. steam doesn't list a date for me at all.

The 15th is the Early Tip-Off Weekend while the 19th is the street date, so that explains that discrepancy.
