ERROR CODE EFEAB30C PLEASE HELP

Hi I'm new to this franchise and so I bought one on steam. And so this is my concern, after downloading the game and running it for the 1st time it wont let me connect in the server and show error code efeab30c. I contacted 2K and they instructed me to play few games offline so it will trigger the update download so I can connect in the server. I've been playing many offline games for like 55 hours in total still no pop up download. Can someone tell me how to fix these? I really want to play mycareer online and this is the 1st time I bought nba 2k online cos it looks so lit.

I dont know how to check these kind of stuff cos I'm scared to mess up our pc. And I think my brother got these windows on pirates sites and we're using windows 10 pro 64 bit according to him.

You know that you have to update Windows, for security reasons, but also for the certificates authorities (browsers and apps).
The statement on NLSC is no piracy, so I cant help you more.
