Underdogs-Underrated players team - Help me!

Fri Oct 27, 2017 4:24 am

Hi guys

in MyLeague I want to build a team of underrated players, players with something to prove etc, who deserve a second chance.

I can only think about Jabari Parker but i'm talking mainly about role players, not stars.

Any suggestion?

Its funny, Dwight Howard is now at the level where he has "Something to prove". If you look at his numbers, even the last few years, I would say people underrate him because of what he WAS in Orlando. He gets a lot of shit (Some that he deserves), but he is still a force on the floor. He only lasted one year in ATL.

I know you aren't looking at stars, but Kyrie Irving has something to prove this season.

Otherwise, you could say Josh Smith (If the Pelicans sign him).

Heres a list of players that I think have something to prove

1. Omer Asik
2. Chandler Parsons (BIG TIME)
3. Festus Ezeli
4. Bismack Biyombo
5. Allen Crabbe
6. Seth Curry
7. Kris Dunn
8. Tyreke Evans
9. Derrick Favors (I never thought he reached his full potential)
10. Aaron Gordon (Big night last night though)
11. Jeff Green (He never reached it...)
12. Reggie Jackson
13. Brandon Knight
14. Jeremy Lamb
15. Jordan Mickey
16. Jahil Okafor
17. Anthony Bennett (lol)
18. Nick Young
19. Shabazz Napier
20. Nerlens Noel

Love some of the names! Thank you

I was thinking about Brogdon as a PM, I like the fact he is a solid player so different from nowadays point guards.

Jabari Parker also, a star in the rise that still couldn't reach his maximum potential due to injuries.

At center I have the player I created, so i'm looking to fill the remaining 4 positions.

Who would you put at guard and small forward in a starting five like : Brogdon, guard, sF, Jabari Parker, my player (rebounder, defensive minded player)?

I guess I need some good scorers

I think Evan Turner would be a good one at the SG or SF. Talk about high potential coming in, but never filling it. And, he's still young.

Another guy I mentioned above that could slide into SF is Tyreke Evans, who had a good rookie year... but never even got close to being what he was supposed to be.

If you are looking to go younger, a logical choice would be Brandon Ingram, or Doug McDermott. Also, PF Thon Maker.
