Wow!
Tue May 08, 2018 1:24 am
New Master Centers released today. Players are Drummond, Cousins, Gobert, Shaq, Russell, and WIlt.
Tue May 08, 2018 5:34 am
Ooooo I am interested in Wilt since I didn't manage to snag him in the warriors pack
Tue May 08, 2018 6:01 am
Requirements are three playstyle players, three team players, and three Centers on your team.
Wilt's should be easy since you can have Master Curry and Durant, and Playoffs Thompson in your lineup.
Tue May 08, 2018 11:05 am
I wonder how that Shaq will staq up against the one from the Legends paq.
Tue May 08, 2018 12:12 pm
I want to do the Tim Duncan and Wilt challenges but I only have Karl Malone as post anchor player. Who are the other players with this play style who I can get for cheap at the auction house? Thanks.
Tue May 08, 2018 2:13 pm
Some cheap Post Anchor legends are Laimbeer, Chambers, Pettit, Schayes, and Parish. You can probably find Schayes and Chambers for around 9.5k. I think there are some other Post Anchor players like Towns and Griffin as Elite playstyles, but I could be wrong.
Tue May 08, 2018 3:51 pm
There are other regular players that are post anchors like ibaka, mozgov, favors, gasol, JV, mostly traditional centers

ToTY Damian Lillard
Wed May 09, 2018 2:51 am
Man, that's the Lillard card I've been wanting all season long. Giving him a 3 point rating under 80 was just insulting. I have his all Star card so I'll see if I get get 2000 coins out of it
Wed May 09, 2018 3:36 am
Saw this for 37k and couldn't pass this up. Sadly, the Big Moments throwback cards don't have unique CF's or portraits.

Played the ToTY challenge, and didn't get Lillard. I did however, get another Big Moments card, this time being Jokic.

Any word on Master centers ratings? I saw Wilt's wasnt as good as the legend card
Wed May 09, 2018 3:55 am
The only other master center I've seen was Bill Russell. The good thing is that he looks nearly identical to his legend card (minus the lower post and finishing ratings)
Wed May 09, 2018 4:16 am
The legends Bill Russell is a beast and the Master has all the best aspects of his game. Can't wait to see the Wilt ratings!
Also, hello to everyone here! Been a lurker for a few weeks now but thought I would finally jump into the conversation. Long-time NBA Live fan (and 2k to a lesser extent) who has been loving Ultimate Team this year! Really the first team-building mode that has gotten its hooks into me between all of the major sports game franchises.

Welcome to the Forum!
That Lillard card is a fine upgrade to say the least.
Wed May 09, 2018 11:54 am
Thanks shinron and Q. I got Schayes and Unseld to complete the required 3 post anchor play style players for the Wilt challenge.

Master Shaq. This card looks similar to his Cavs card, and is the one used in the 2000's legends team in the SG Master Challenges.

Still waiting for Cousins', Drummond's, and Gobert's Masters

Defensive Rebounding.... 50....
Not only did he average over 10 RPG every year as a Laker, but he also averaged over 7 defensive RPG during that stretch.
Some of these ratings baffle me, I wonder if they just did that because they didn't want him to be higher overall.

DRB is dribbling. REB is the overall rebounding/boxout ratings. Remember, LUT uses simplified attributes when rating their players.
The Masters each receive an upgrade later on in the year.

Ahh, thanks for clearing that up. I was concerned.

I made that same mistake at first, especially since LUT 18 changed the visible ratings compared to pre-patch and previous LUT iterations.
Traded in my Big Moments Jokic for the new Lillard card. I have no regrets.

Thu May 10, 2018 6:18 am
Hmm I think I'll stick with my Magic Shaq, even though I would like a Lakers version of him.
Thu May 10, 2018 12:03 pm
Maybe BAL (for ballhandling) would've been less confusing than DRB, since DRB is already a common abbreviation in basketball nomenclature.
Thu May 10, 2018 12:37 pm
All ratings for the new masters.

Cousins has yet another disappointing card. All of his cards pale in comparison to other Centers in LUT. Even his Big Moments card doesn't look that great on paper.
Thu May 10, 2018 12:38 pm
The ratings do seem badly fudged in order to suit the Overall.
