Edit Player Background - Requesting Help

Sat Mar 30, 2019 10:27 am

Hi all,

I am trying extra hard to get the edit player background to be white like NBA 2K19, or at least another color other than black.

I believe I found the texture in gooeyfrontend, which I have tried changing and inserting back into gooeyfrontend and into the modded folder, but no luck. I believe I the create_bg.scne file is associated with it, I tried changing some of the language in that text file under the "texture" section, and no luck.

Really at a loss, but want to have this be part of my release of UCTR V2 and my other rosters. It would give the game a fresh new look.

Any help would be appreciated!

Would help but I dunno, but it's perhaps not a texture but a color mask
Have you tried to replace scene values (which contains 3 times 0.0) to 1.0 ?

That didn't work, unfortunately.

I'm honestly at a loss. I figured messing with the text file would work, as it worked when I was troubleshooting cyberface conversions.

Andrew, if you could close this topic that would be great. I figured it out, so no need to keep it open.

Thank you!

The file was actually in gooeyglobal, not gooeyfrontend. Both files had that create a player background, but it's almost like the one in gooeyfrontend was a phony.

After finding the file, I created my new background in paint.net and made it the same size as the default background, and it worked. You can literally put any background behind the players.

I would create a video tutorial on this, but I feel like only a few people are playing 2K17 now (its sad).

When I release the roster you can just jump into gooeyglobal and find the file, it will be in the modded folder. It's super easy to do.
