When I try to replace a DDS texture, it says:

Am I doing something wring here?[/

Hey Greg, This is the second time it happens to me: after installing 3-4 shoe files using the import method, when I try to start the game, it kicks me out; and when I press verify cache it always downloads 2 files...

Those two files are 0A and whatever archive you're modding. There's nothing weird about that. As for the corrupting, the importing is always gonna sort of be shitty because of how big the archives are.

Can anybody open any of the archives with 2K17 Explorer v0.52 after patch 1.04?

Yeah I am in them right now. I had to remove manifest-g though from the main directory.

Thanks for the answer TBM. The thing is the 4-5 files I inserted before crushing were 1KB shoe config files, the original files were 1KB too, so the difference among them may be of around a bunch of bytes at best.

For what you are saying I guess that, if crushes happen with 1KB files, importing dornas will be impossible too right?

I've inserted a few dornas with no issue. The problem isn't necessarily the size of the file you're importing, but rather the size of the archive itself. 0C is 6gb, so the re-writing is rough.

Hi friends ! I have a little problem this year . I want to add a new lebron james face texture but when i'm oppening the cavaliers folder i haven't any face1013 or png1013 someone can help me ? Thanks so much

One more thing, why can't I export the 'blue' face textures. Once they are exported, the file is sort of corrupt.

So basically there's nothing that can be done right? Is it the same if the modded file is smaller or bigger than the original one? or it just doesn't matter at all?

i'm using the direct import method, don't know if can be done but, would help to keep the structure of the file if I better use the .iff editor?

Don't know really how many dornas you have imported, this issue happened to me after 7-8 imports...The thing is if Greg can do anything about this issue...

EDIT: I've already tried, but iff editor doesn't recognize shoe_ed, Shoe_ng or Shoe_style files :(

That's because you're not using the iff editor like you're supposed to.

Firstly, don't use this for importing faces. Use the external file plugin. Secondly, look at the manifest in a text editor for file locations.

I'll talk to Greg about it. if you can find out if the problem can be easily re-created, that would help. Like, if it's always exactly 7 imports that corrupt the archive or something.

Thanks TBM, I'll try to reproduce it. It happens about the 7th-8th import more or less. The curious thing is that it doesn't happen always right after inserting the file, indeed I can access the game and see the mod; but if I leave Steam and later on go in and try to start the game is when the crush happens.

BTW, if you can talk to greg, please tell him to check his PMs.

Extract the IFF with NBA 2K17 Explorer and then unzip the IFF with 7-Zip to get the textures. Use 7-Zip to put the new textures back in the IFF. Use the NBA 2K17 External File Plugin to apply the modified IFF to the game.

Please, where are the files for uptade bench jackets ? Last year,they were in a Jerseys files but this year no...

Greg, do you think it would be possible to rename files that are inside of the archive w/ this tool?
I just want to change "face0xxx.iff" to "face3xxx.iff".

I tried to doing this with hex editing but there is no "face0xxx" in the hex code.

Guys, how to find the uniforms of the expansion teams?
I love the expansion teams idea, but the uniforms are too basic... so i want to try to make them more appealling.

You can just rebrand using the in game jersey creator. You can find where any file is by opening up the manifest file in notepad
