Wait so you're not going to use the current NBA teams to fill in new classic teams? I think we should use the entire roster, especially now that we can edit Euroleague rules. Even if we add teams later, I feel like that would be a lost cause to just leave the normal NBA teams the same. I 100% agree. Let's do it!!

This will enable us to add many more classic teams. Also, overwriting the current teams is easier.

My brother and I are working on this in a huge way. Im filling all the classic teams accurately, and hes starting adding the new classic teams we want. We will start on the current teams (For example, we will overwrite the current Suns with the 92-93 Suns, the current Mavericks with the 10-11 Championship Mavericks, the current Lakers with the 08-09 Lakers) and so on.

This is a big project, but it will be so cool when its finished.

Some updates on progress will be posted a little later today.

Yeah, ill do all of that once the teams are all set. The players Vitals/attributes/tendancies/signatures/contracts/hot zones etc are first. Art is second (Courts, new cf's and cf' tweaks), and changing team names will probably be last.

Alright, Progress Update

The 11-12 Thunder are 100% done player/portrait wise. I'm converting the court this weekend. I am not changing team names until I'm ready to release. The 08-09 Lakers are about 90% done, as well as the 92-93 Suns. Every detail was paid attention to, even contracts. The players will have the actual contracts they were on at the time. I have about half of the classic teams filled, and almost the entire league will have accurate portraits. For the Thunder, you will notice that the portraits of Durant, Westbrook, Nazr Mohammed, Royal Ivey , Daequan Cook, Reggie Jackson etc are CUSTOM. They were not made by 2K. This will give the roster a truly special touch. I still need Westbrooks hair removed so he can look like his 11-12 self, and Harden and Durant touched up. Also, see the video below of the 04-05 Suns vs 11-12 Thunder (Court not done yet). This roster will be very special once completed. When every little detail is paid attention to, and completed accurately. it can take like 3 to 4 hours to complete one team.. which doesn't count the portrait making time, court converting time, etc. In the video below, notice the portraits of the players popping out of the stat overlay. Looks great.

Looks great, we're going to have to remember to add the NBA logo to the front of the jersey for the Thunder once we come around to Jersey editing. One thing though, I know Durant wore white leg accessories in the 2012 Finals but he kind of looks out of place when the rest of his teammates have black ones. I'm really looking forward to this.

Btw, it's funny you mention the Durant thing. Because I was 50-50 on white or black. Most pictures I saw of him were in white. So I went with that. I can change them though.

The accessories being accurate are really important, even Daequan Cook has the right accessories. And I agree about the jerseys.

It will be great when completed, atleast we are all making progress.

Actually, community vote would be nice. Who would you guys prefer, the 08-09 Lakers who won more regular season games with Ariza, or the 09-10 Lakers who won less season games but had Ron Artest.
