Last night, I got beat by a Reggie Miller buzzer beater from the corner. While realistic, it didn't hurt any less. And, this was the first game of the season....

I'm using the 96-97 Rockets here vs the 99-00 Pacers.

I finished the 82-83 76ers last night (Took about 5 hours). Im getting a couple more portraits done for them in order for the team to look complete. I overwrote the 76-77 76ers with them, because the 82-83 76ers won the championship and had MVP Moses. That team is more relevant. However, the 76-77 76ers are still on the current 76ers team, so they will still be able to be used.

Note: After I finish the 3 other teams I wanted to add, and the team names are changed, I will release this roster. Even if its released in April, that gives you guys like 6 months to enjoy this roster until the new 2k comes out, and even longer if you decide to keep playing it.

When released, Ill also show a video on how to setup your MyLeague with little to no duplicates, the video will also explain the roster.

Im really sorry to all who have waited so long for me to release this, just a little while longer. Between the game patch frustrations (That ruined the game for me), and the limited roster editing, and the fact that I've been playing REAL basketball in leagues the last 3 or 4 months, the delay happened.

It takes about 4-5 hours to complete one team (not including art etc), so 3 more teams, and Im finishing the 99-00 Knicks tonight. A couple quick things to note:

The EURO teams will NOT be functional.
MANY of the new classic teams go over current NBA Teams
This Roster is designed for classic teams play now, and Myleague with classic teams

Man it is so nice what you are doing! we all just need to wait for the release and enjoy later! How many teams will be current NBA teams will then be gone?

Like 12-15 new classic teams will replace current teams.

Again, I wish I didn't have to do it that way, but its the only option really.

I sent PeacemanNOT the 92-93 Suns court to see if he wants to make some final edits to it.

Also, I plan on getting him the roster this weekend so he can rename the teams in Cheat Engine. I looked through the default classic teams, and there are still about 6 of them that are not 100% filled with accurate players (which isn't a ton, but its more than I originally thought), I may do V1 release without the 93-94 Nuggets/71-72 Lakers/70-71 Hawks filled.

Still working on it.

That will be awesome, to have a V1 version so we can test the new teams in play now at least, and then you can finish the details later on

So I wanted to give everybody an update.

PeacemanNOT and I ran into a small snag when renaming the teams (as in, how they appear in the custom league team select screen, and how they appear in a spot on the myleague screen). We are trying to find a solution.

I spent about 4 hours in cheat engine last night trying to figure it out. Remember, the goal of this roster is not only to have a great Play Now experience, but a great MyLeague experience. I think PeacemanNOT can vouche for the roster looking very good at the moment, but that team name situation needs to be resolved and a few teams just need to be finished.

It will be released soon. Just trying to work out the kinks.

Great, can you provide already a final list of the included teams and the replacements? Also, are you adding to the mod any kind of updated faces, body types, etc?

00-01 Kings
09-10 Lakers
10-11 Mavericks
05-06 Nets
06-07 Nuggets
04-05 Spurs
11-12 Thunder
14-15 Warriors
92-93 Suns
96-97 Rockets
99-00 Pacers

New teams I am adding before a release:

96-97 Heat
98-99 Knicks
10-11 Bulls

Teams replacing Default Classic Teams:

95-96 Spurs (Prime Robinson, replacing 97-98 Spurs)
89-90 Lakers (MVP Magic, Woolridge on team, replacing 90-91 Lakers)
11-12 Heat (Avoiding duplicate Ray Allen, you can now match them up with 11-12 Thunder, replacing 12-13 Heat)

18 new teams, all Classic teams new and default will be able to be used in MYLEAGUE or Play Now.

Update:

Team logos - Successfully accurate and changed

Team names - Successfully changed

Accessories - all new teams and up to 95 Magic successfully changed

Just working on filling the rosters. PeacemanNOT did the team name changing and is fine tuning the accessories. I finished the logos and my brother and I did the portraits. Another quick note: The 91-92 Trailblazers will be in the roster. They made the finals against Jordan, I love that team.

If this is received well on first release (I have no doubt it will), I'll consider adding a bunch more new classic teams, like the 96-97 Hornets, 00-01 Bucks, 05-06 Raptors, 09-10 Celtics, etc.
