Where did you get the impression I was saying I was being attacked? This is about you not answering questions properly and with a bit of decency, you're one of the top modders on new gen NBA 2K and it's impossible to ask you a question because I feel like it's a nuisance to you or something. It's like AmaroWaade all over again.

I thought it was already a thing no? If we can't figure it out it's probably just got to do with compatibility, I guess we'll have to wait for Greg to release a Blender plugin so we can shrinkwrap models like KD.

I mean just PNG's working from NBA 2K16 in general. The Face's/Portraits work perfectly fine. I can't get the Nash/Camby Problem out of my head.

Oh yeah, well I would assume that maybe it's just because they're not in the game anymore so you can't transfer them over.
Wait, so do other png files swapping work? So like KD for instance?

PNG´s not working, just FACExxxx.iff
The problem is with all 3D.
All 3D for 2k16 not working with 2k17. We go back to NBA 2k15 on courts mod. =(
Hope Greg or any chinese guy made a new blender.py file to be possible editing courts and bodies! =)

So I've been messing around with Jersey Textures today I'd just like to say whatever 2K did with the jerseys this year... it's terrible. They're a lot harder to edit because everything has a certain map on the jerseys (logos, certain designs etc.)
Also I feel like the quality has gone down a lot. I mean if you just look at the jerseys in game they look blurred especially the colour white, it looks completely out of place. (I have my Texture Quality set at high). Creating something like the Rio 2016 Patch is going to be a lot harder this year, Jerseys are just a chore to edit now.

Hey guys,
First post here. Basically i'm interested in getting some of the player assets out of the game, remodelling/sculpting and texturing and then re-importing them. I've got a lot of experience working in Maya/Zbrush/texturing (I do it professionally) so will be interested in getting the files in any sort of decent 3d format that importable to standard 3d software (fbx, obj, alembic, whatever). I thnk you guys work with Blender?
From what I can see exporting the models in any way so far isnt a go..or if it is we cant get em back in yet? I guess im asking if i missed anything so far and if not, just letting you know im here and interested!
Anyways, sorry to jump in on the thread!
Peace!

Welcome to the team!
We can certainly use someone for presentation elements of the game, as well as more CF makers (We need more of those). If you want to know what we were able to accomplish last year, check out the NBA 2K16 Released & Previews section, it will give you a good idea. We are still waiting on the blender compatibility, and are still trying to figure out what else we can do with the game.

The stadium files are a mess this year, and I can't even find an editable stanchion. It doesn't look like those are editable this year.

It's still so early. The game just came out. We will figure something out.

If you want to replace a song on the Jukebox: use Audacity and change the songs project rate to 48000, than save as .ogg. than import. If you need a refresher, watch my video tutorial for 2k16, it's the exact same.
I just get my music using the youtube to mp3 converter.

Hi all,
So I just wanted to give a breakdown of what we can do at this point:
1. We can use the Input tool (modded folder) to make changes to Portraits, cyberfaces, floors and other .iffs in the game. This tool also recognizes the Portraits from NBA 2K16, and face.iffs from 2K16.
2. We can use Gregs tool to export files, however we can't see all the files because we are using last year's tool so there are not enough slots under preferences (because there are more files this year). No files can be viewed in gregs tool itself, and when exporting using his tool when accessing the files from the main directory... the game file itself will be corrupted and you would need to verify your game cache.
3. The Limnono Modifier is out and in my opinion better than ever. This year it was translated to english, making it a lot easier. We can edit attributes/faces/tendancies etc with this tool, and it seems that he is making daily updates at this point.
4. We can import music just like last year with Gregs tool from 2k16. This is the only importing I've seen that is safe without having to verify game cache. The files just need to be imported as .OGG at a 48000 project rate.
5. Manni and company figured out how to edit court shaders and have already released a couple courts. We are still waiting on a one texture court template which will make things a lot easier.
6. We have a couple rosters out there: Vipers and an all time teams roster. I am working on the ultimate fantasy draft roster, as well as a roster that fills in All the classic teams (no fakes). I'm up to the 00-01 Sixers right now (starting from 12-13 Heat).
7. Basagre/Idc/TBM are already making adjustments to cfs. However, we are still waiting on a blender plug in like we had for NBA 2k16
8.it looks like SJ is working on a global, which is awesome. We only had one last year (kevins).
9.Goldenstate made new lighting again this year as well. I havn't tried it but the screenshots look cool.
10. IDC etc is already working on Jersey textures. It looks like these jersey texture files can be imported using the modded folder.
11. We have a CF ID list that is pretty complete. Just missing a few rookies and Michael B Jordans character from the game.
We are still waiting on that plugin, and an update to gregs tool. Steve Nash is a priority, so hopefully someone can try and make one if we can't import him from last year.
I figured I'd give a full update to those who just migrate to the last page of the thread.
Thanks,

I made the 1997 Rockets home jersey. A lot of it is from the one 2K give us, but it's not very accurate so I've fixed a lot of it. I spent a lot of time on this jersey and most of it is from 2K's version.
Jersey textures are ridiculous this year. It might look great because they show you the template of the jersey but, jersey models are so weirdly mapped this year. You have to put everything at an angle, it's such a pain in the ass:
