Edit.

The portraits are really good. But he left the Getty images art on the portraits, which is a little messy.

1. He did an amazing job with Jerseys for the new classic teams he put in, simply awesome.

2. Did a superb job with many of the courts for the new classic teams (his 07-08 Nuggets court is off though, the logo in the center is way to big).

3. He did an OUTSTANDING JOB in the portrait department. Awesome. So many of the portraits are really high quality.

4. Great job with team logos.

5. Great job getting some amazing faces for tmac, 04-05 Ginobili, etc. However, while some of the lookalikes are good ( Like Rash Nestrovic and Foyle), some are really off, or real players are plugged in (like he's using greg anthony for Anthony Carter, Stacey Augmon for Darrell Armstrong, and Glenn Robinson for Bryon Russell.

My feelings are, if he could fix some of the "lookalikes" or get someone to make those faces, and if he could get the teams to 13 for use in myleague, and if he added some more classic teams, he would be in business and the roster would flourish even more.

I respect his work a ton, and wish he would work with us. I would certainly work with him.

Glad you tried it out man!

I think the reality is we are all comparing it to the masterpiece that was/is the Ultimate Base Roster (probably my fault with the name), but it's going to be really hard to replicate that until we get a true roster editor. This is absolutely in my opinion the closest we have. It definitely isn't perfect. It needs some tweaking. But the base is there.

Sadly, the language barrier will prevent us from fully working together. Amazing we are in 2017 and still can't get a perfect online translator.

Another note:

He is not adding completely new teams, he is overwriting default roster teams for every new classic team that goes in. For example, you will notice that the 70-71 Hawks, 71-72 Lakers, 89-90 Cavs, 92-93 Bulls, 93-94 Nuggets and the euro teams are overwritten. So he hasn't found a way to add completely new teams.

So even with this editor, it seems that adding completely new teams without overwriting other teams is not an option.

I bet if you shared it someone would be willing to take a look at it and try to translate the editor. I know PeacemanNOT did a lot of work translating Limnono's Modifier.

I agree with this. Can you share the editor on this forum?

so no redmc functionality...

Re: Han's Roster

The paid version has tons of things from REDMC. Just not adding teams. RED MC was many more things than just a roster extender.

so can we use unique jerseys/logos/courts/dornas/arenas for each team? without overwriting?

are we on to something here guys? could this be major breakthrough or is it what the NLSC community already had..?

I think some may have already had it, but I believe I am the first to share it. It needs a Chinese program called Baidu to download, which has probably deterred a lot of people from getting it. Now the hurdle is figuring out how to pay for the damn thing.

You actually aren't the first to share it, we've known about this tool since launch. TGsoGood uploaded the tool awhile back in the Modding Progress thread.

Great. Never saw it, and others asked me to upload. Obviously wasn't easily accessible.

Guys, it doesn't matter how it got here. Nobody cares about that. Lets just move on.

If that's directed at me, you're barking up the wrong damn tree. The only reason I mentioned my thoughts that I was the first to share it was because if that was true, no one on the board smarter than me at modding has been able to take a crack at cracking the editor and/or contacting the creator. Because of how important it was that I be corrected about this one small detail, somehow the conversation became an issue about "how it got here".

You're right. No one gives a crap about how it got here, and neither do I. Why the hell it even became an issue is beyond me, but all that matters is that we find a way to use the damn thing.

Re: Han's Roster

About the whole cracking business.... no one here knows how to do that. I would have imagined the tool is server based and can't be cracked. It would also ruin relations between this forum and the chinese modders, can't believe you're even considering that. Is anyone here able to purchase the tool to see if it works first and then give us a tutorial on how to get it?

I agree with Peace. Lets try to do this the normal route, find a way to pay for it.

I just want to mention that the tool seems to need an update with every major patch.

If you guys get the tool figured out, i'll pay right away. It's really all I need to really hit the ground running. I've been making a ton of progress as it is, but in order to complete my roster, I need this tool.

Maybe if the link was posted in it's own topic, it may attract others who are not aware of this tool or anyone who can understand Chinese. Listing what the tool is, and what needs to be resolved would help. Just an idea.

For anyone trying to decide whether to download this roster, watch this video: http://www.bilibili.com/video/av7867605/

This will give you an idea of some of what you can expect.

So no new teams and overwriting. Good start but we already have something similar from dee, here on nlsc; imo we should support him and not some dude without any chance to contact.

I'll tell you the biggest reason I prefer this roster: coaches.

NBA coaches change every year. To have a fully functioning My League, you need lots of free agent coaches to act as potential hires and maintain the realism. We get realism with the draft imports. We get realism with all the real players. But where's the realism with the coaches? This roster provides that, along with lots of other nice features.

And by the way, yeah Han can be contacted him, as he has fixed things I have asked him to fix. The communication is limited, but it isn't completely non-existent.

What's the best way to directly get in touch with Han?
