Anyway to mod NBA 2k17 on the PS4 console?

Hello NBA-live community,

I'm relatively new to the whole modding scene for NBA 2k. I wanted to purchase NBA 2k17 for the PC but I'm at a crossroads trying to pay $59.99 for a 4 year game. Just really ridiculous. With that being said, do you all know of where you could get an older 2k game like NBA 2k17 at a cheaper price for the PC? Is there anyway PC mods could be used on the console for NBA 2k17 (PS4 version for example). On top of this, How is the modding scene for NBA 2k17 to have latest roster mods for the game? How is the modding scene for latest roster updates for the other 2k versions of the game (besides NBA 2k20 and NBA 2k21) on the PC?

Is there anyway possible mods could occur on the consoles on any of the NBA 2k games?

The console versions can't be modded, or utilise mods made for the PC version. The modding scene for NBA 2K17 is definitely quieter than it used to be - as you noted, it's a four year old game at this point - but there is some activity here. A lot of people did like NBA 2K17, so there's a bit of a retro modding scene for it popping up again.

I agree that the price tag is ridiculous given that big chunks of the game are no longer available owing to the server shutdown, on top of the age of the game in general. You might be able to find cheaper Steam keys on the grey market, but most stores are still offering it at the price of a new game.
