It would still basically look like the original NBA player, but the texture would just be messed up.

Can someone create a tutorial on how to use this tool? When I open it, I just can get a white page. What am I supposed to do next? I hate to complain but the directions people put on this website is awful. Without good directions, these tools become useless and no one will bother to use it. I do IT at work but I still need some directions people.

You mean right from the start it's a white page? You need to click on options and set preferences if thats the case, select the team of the player you want to edit. Save settings, and click file -> load archives.

After that find the iff file you want, e.g png2444.iff click on it once, go to options -> show iff editor and you are able to view the files inside of it.


TBM bro, how should I save CF files? And do I have to edit the green dds files as well or just the skin color ones?

Unless you're getting issues with hair color, edit just the color one and detailnormal. As for a tutorial for the tool, I made one for the 2K15 tool, and the transition from the 2K15 tool to this one should be pretty self-explanatory, especially with this FAQ.

Thanks Freeman13. That helped. Now I'm having problem trying to import G. Hill's new face. I download the new face, I imported it but when I click on "apply", I get an IOERROR (ERRNO 13) Permission Denied: C//Program Files/NBA 2K16..etc. It won't allow me to apply it????

Run as admin.

Also, make sure no more than one thing is ever in the import scheduler at once.

Yeah, it's a bug. Greg was going to fix it, but obviously that won't be needed at all in the next version of the tool.

It was working fine for me but now I get an indexError: list of index out of range every time I try to load archives. What is going on?

Deleting manifest_g didn't resolve it. What is manifest_g anyway? All I did was try to apply two import files (face and png for k. bryant) and got this error and now it won't go away. I'm able to play the game fine but I just can't load achieves.

I want to change Alba Berlins team name .. Has anybody figured out if the text editor in this tool can accomplish this?

You need roster editor for that. But also try with Limnono's modifier, not sure if that tool can edit team names.
Just curious, why are you changing all European stuff? :D

Im adding the 08-09 Lakers, 92-93 Suns and 10-11 Mavericks. Ive aleeady overwritten everything else for Alba Berlin (changed court, dornas, ball, logo, jerseys etc etc) just found the refs. So the only thing i need is team name change. Im adding them in this way so that the regular teams are not impacted, and the are like real classic teams in the game.

also, i tried with Limnono... No luck with current version.

Got the same problem i guess!
After the first time I used the Explorer (I have imported net texture(succesfully) and ball texture(unsuccesfully)),then it deosn't load the archieves.no more. It shows no file.
what do you mean with "delete manifest_g"? where can i find that file or the game cache??

Hello everyone,I have found out that a file named "appearance_info.RDAT" (located in any pngXXXX.iff files) contains info that defines player body types, as far as i know it has three types: THIN, AVERAGE, THICK_DEFINED.

I have tried to change Melo body type from average into thick_defined such as Lebrons, i changed it in text editor - click save file...
But when i reopen the file it hasnt change...
I also try another way, i export the file, then edit in notepad...but i cant import it because the tools can only import three kinds of files image,archive,and model while the file that im trying to import i think it's a text kind of file...

There is no text editing yet. Also, since body types are just tied to models, this is unlikely to do anything.
