LEGENDS RENEWED: The Admiral and MJ Update Preview

So its that time again. Now that the new explorer is out I've begun updating the Legends for this year's game. Will be a much easier and much faster process this time around so I should have a download ready sometime very soon. In the meantime, here's a couple preview shots. You know I always have to hit up Mike and Scottie first.

With the Legend faces being a sore point for quite a few gamers, this is definitely good to see. Nice work!

Shaquille o'neal 01 correct skin tone(Too brown and red..the legs are brown/black O.O) and Faces (Shaq cyberface in halftime report with kenny is much better ahahaha)

I agree with Giften, Shaq's cyberface is much better in the pre-game and half-time shows, which is quite puzzling in my opinion.

Hope you can assign it to his player counterparts.

Amazing work! David Robinson needs to be cleaned up quite a bit, can you tackle that one. Also, i may PM you about help with something....

Yeah that'd be sick to use the halftime report version of SHAQ cyberface, just remove the goatee.

BTW Jordan looks great. Scottie looks like an old man though. Maybe it's just the screenshot?

Does Jordan still have the crazy eyes? Or were you able to fix that?

Ok, I did all I could for Terry Cummings but the mesh for his head is an absolute horror. The textures help him to look a little more human at least, however his facial/head mesh is in serious need of help. If anyone is out there working on this let me know. Will gladly give the texture for it.

Have you experimented with adding tattoos to players who don't have them? It seems the explorer tool will only show the "chest color" TXTR and DDS files if the player has tattoos. Im trying to put tattoos on a player that should have them but doesn't...

Any help would be appreciated!

I'm actually having issues getting any of the PNG contents to even show up in the editor preview. It worked fine last night when I fixed Allen Iverson's hair. Now nothing.

Try deleting the "Tail" file in the nba 2k16 main folder? Worked for me once. The second time it happened it didn't work for me so I had to put it back.... I have to keep the Manifest G an Tail files in the main folder...

Glad to see your works for 2k16! Just for reference this is how the broadcast version of Shaq looks on a player: Please notice the lack of tattoos and the pattern on his legs.

So the cyberface and body are connected somewhat?

He looks a bit old loke that, but not far from his Miami/Cleveland/Celtics days.

I still think that looks WAY better! Just photo shop the goatee out or make it thinner for his Prime or young days. Sure overall it looks pudgier for his Orlando days, but ill take that over the default any time.

I just saw the Terry Cummings! He looks sick! I've wanted a good Terry Cummings cyberface since 2k14!

On the top of my head, I can name a few that the skin is too bright: Ron Harper, Kenny Smith, Alonzo Mourning, Karl Malone, Penny Hardaway and John Starks

And Moses Malone, well, this one should be really difficult to fix, because he's wrong in almost everything, only his face and skin color is acceptable. He should not be wearing Goggles in the first place, I don't know why 2k did this since 2k15. He didn't wear them in Philadelphia. Second, his head is like he has a brain decease, completely wrong. Maybe adding more hair to his hair textures can make it look like his hair is big, not his brain. Third, you can't see any problems with his hairline, which is not accurate to Moses from 1985. Maybe he can only be fixed if someone find a way to make completely new CFs like it was on previous gen

For those that have the skill set, these are also in need of readjustment. If you're inclined to do so.
It is difficult to tell if this is Mitch Richmond or Horace Grant without his signature goggles This Hakeem is rather odd This Baron Davis would look better with a fuller beardThis Dominique is no highlightThere is some serious discoloration going onStephon's face is a different tone that the rest of his bodyDikembe also looks odd

Okay, having looked at broadcast SHAQ, it clearly is way better, but has two downsides FOR NOW.

1. It is impossible to add his tats if we use it.

2. There's no way to fix his legs. Those are attached to the shaders.

Best thing to is, unless you don't mind his legs and arms looking wrong, wait for the next version of the Explorer. With any luck, we'll be able to import the actual model file instead of having to replace the entire iff, so all the shaders and arm texture will be there from his player version.

Hope you can remaster Penny Hardaway, he looks like a monkey in the game .
