Kuroko no Basket? Let's drop everything about fixing faces, courts, models etc. and create a ficitonal anime basketball roster. Sounds like a great idea!

I just keep dropping in, waiting (praying?) until I hear I'll be able to bring March Madness to 2K16 :D

Great work, guys. Keep it up.

I hope there will be a way to edit skin colors. This year, all colors looks brighter. And the odd thing is, the Legend's head still looks the same, so it creates two colors, one for the face and other for the body. Just look at Alonzo Mourning and Penny Hardaway to see what I'm talking about

gregkwaste wrote:I also want to do some tests with the archives, because again reading the manifest file, i know in which directory the game expects its files. There should be definitely a way to force the game to load the files externally, and not load them from the archives. In other words, EXACTLY like 2k14 worked with its files.

Best part of your update brother, testing of mods will be much easier no need to close the game to see the changes.
Hope you work on the explorer tool first.
AND PLEASE don't join the 2K Team yet.

Thank you to Jaosming and Leftos for the manifest file (I'm just assuming it's from them).
Thank you greg and TBM for updating us.

Just a quick update. The tool is really buggy right now. I tried to have it make coffee, and it didn't even work. Greg is such a lazy dev.

Great to see the modding community so active this early this year.

All I want is to be able to change the accessory colors (change team colors for a certain uniform set like the Reditor was able to - Lakers and Knicks accessory colors are fairly messed up) and put a custom cyberface on my Create-A-Player (which I would very happily pay for someone to make for me :D ).

Maybe I'm being wishful, but those two issues seem like they'll be cake this year.

Waiting patiently.

Cheers!

We should just wait and see what will happen, we all remember last year lost for modding, hope Greg experience will help him to create good tool.

Team colors are looking promising. I can't say for sure that they'll be in the roster editor, but it's like 60/40 at this point that they will.

Although the roster editor is not going to come out very soon. The explorer is first priority, of course.

Working on the explorer. I've writteN an almost complete model descriptor parser. That means that you will have the option to parse whatever model is available in an iff through its appropriate .SCNE or .json descriptor. Of course i'll try to make that available through a blender script.

I've also reprogrammed the whole viewport stuff. I've switched to opengl 3+ stuff. And the whole rendering is done via shaders right now. This doesn't change a lot from the outside, but it does change almost everything from the inside.

Now because of the weird object scaling i've also implemented a light source which is interactive (through the keyboard) its the blue dot that you see on the screens and this will help you light the objects if the light does not illuminate them properly.

That is an issue only with the models of course. Textures work like a charm :D

So i think its time to start working on the import functions. As soon as i get them working, first release is a matter of time.

If i'm not mistaken its the floor file contained on each team archive. I've also imported one of them and its like past year, nothing's changed.

The big question is if we will be able to import 3d models ingame this year. Thats still a huge question.

Any chance we can use a custom roster for offline blacktop mode?

It is disappointing how they have locked the user into using the default roster for offline blacktop mode.
