Guys this is a very important matter , i.e. roster editing and modding. Until 2k14 we had UBR , URB and FIBA along with other nice total convertions. Then the new steam related 2k15 came out and last year we had only a couple URB version of 2013 and 2014 seasons.
The reasons behind this is that nobody could come out with a proper roster editor and so evry project was being abandoned on the assumption that if you can't mod textures stadiums etc there's no point in creating a for ex 2001 2002 1993 season.
I would be instead extremely grateful if somebody could come up with a past season roster like the one who are already coming out for PS4 or XBox. For instance there is a FIBA one where all NBA teams match a national team. Then who cares if the stadium stay the ones of the NBA, that's cool to have new rosters. So why not creating this or say a 2000s roster using the inside the game editor? The consoles users are doing that, and I think that as long as the respective players have accurate ratings (the modders could just use or tweak the ratings they used for their 2k13 or 2k14 rosters) nobody really care if there's no proper face resemblance of if the courts just aren't the historical ones.
I'd be extremely interested if the old modders can provide some historical rosters even without a proper editor, just using the inside the game one and not caring too much about player faces etc.
What others think about it?
