Hi All!

Since Greg released the updated tool for 2k16 I'm starting to work on some stuff...my top priority are:

- Stadium Lights
- Net Texture
- Net Phsyics
- Sound Effects (rim, net swishes...)

By now I just imported retro stadium.....I think it's a lot better than default 2k16 lighting ( viewtopic.php?f=163&t=99777 ):

Sorry bro not possible yet and not in my plan....

UPDATE: sounds effects header looks like a OGG ^_^ I play them in Audacity......I will test to import new net sounds.....

sounds effects are in sfx_inside.iff of 0B archive.....they export like .resa but they are OGG files....I will import better net swishes soon....

Are you able to edit .shader files that are inside stadium archives?
Maybe it can improve game's perfomance and optimization

I don't think it makes any difference for performance. I am playing Historic Domination on MyTeam mode right now and I have the same performance problems, even with a darker crowd.

@Manni I've search every single file of stadium s014.iff....I can safely say that I need a JSON edit from the next release to try to reduce environment light....

There were many intersting textures...but none of them change the stadium light......

And the same problem is with some other stadium ? for expemple with Staples Center ?

I hate it when I give a bad feedback after the modder has probably spent tens of hours editing a file, but I tried your net physics in game and I believe the mod is a little bit off. A little bit more. After I installed your mod, when I make a basket, the net moves faster indeed, but it bounces up and down like it was made of rubber. Literally, it bounces up and down at least 2 times before it stops moving for about 2-3 seconds.
The speed of the net movement in real life is very similar to yours, but the net movement in real life is ... stiffer. It doesn't bounce up and down, it moves for about a second and then it quickly stops moving in under one second.
I hope you understand what I am trying to say and if you consider fixing your net physics, I am looking forward to using your new mod (Y)

how can i install this iff in to my nba 2k16 folder? The nba2k explorer doesn t work for me ...dll trouble (msvcr90)...i try to resolve without chance!!
I can use another tool for run it?

Everything I said was for v0.1.
Now, I've just tried v0.2 :lol:
Reducing the gravity force was a great idea, the net doesn't bounce up and down no more. But still, there are a few problems :
1) First of all, the net moves on it's own even though nobody is touching it. It's like there is a constant wind in the arena
2) Even though the net doesn't bounce up and down, it moves for too many seconds after a made basket ( 2-3 seconds). The only difference is, now it moves a little bit to the left and right.

So with the current gravity force, if you can make the net to move only once (for only 1 second) like it does in real life and you make it stop moving without anybody touching it, it would be more than amazing !

Using method described here (viewtopic.php?f=222&t=100229) I was able to extract parts of the stadium and light parameters from 94 Knicks stadium and import them into current Knicks stadium....this is still early beta but I can safely say that:

- Crowd Lighting is in a hex editable file crowd.CrowdData
- Arena Lighting in handled with 3 different Baked Light Maps (LightmapTextureBC3#d3b0bdbd_1120.0c94bab7136b0b79.dds as example)

I'm still at the very beggining of stadium mods but so far I'm happy I'm starting to understand how sxxx.iff files are structured....It's like we have a scene descriptor and then 3d models textures shaders and so on...

Stay Tuned I will share everything I'll discover so that modders can create realistic arena's

Honestly It was 1AM and I can't rememeber correctly ^_^ I will post some screenshot later......

I also need to fix lights on basketball structure...too much light ...
