It was previously mentioned that you will be able to get the Platinum trophy (Xbox Achievements equivalent of 100% afaik) with the PS+ version. Now it is confirmed that the free PS+ version gets 10 cars, 1 country/5 tracks/11 variants.

Pretty I know, free game, why bitch, but one of the reasons I flocked to PS4 like I did was this game, and being able to get a "full game experience" with the PS+ version. Now it looks like we are getting a beefed up demo, which yay, but fails to meet that hype I had when I made this thread. Nevermind that it was delayed like whoa and the reasoning for it was for the new dynamic menu system (if only 2K14 would have learned that lesson ). Also 1080p30fps for those that really care about that.

I'll probably still play and enjoy the free version, but unless the upgrade to full is $20, I'll stick with Project CARS/Grid/Next Car game.

"Upgrade" for PS+ version ($50) is treated as DLC, hence disappearing when your sub lapses.
Every other game bought with discount via PS+ is yours to keep, not requiring a PS+ sub.
Can buy the "Full" version for $60 on disc or digital, not locked to PS+.
No, game is not always online required.

You can also buy tracks and cars as you go, so if I want to only spend $20 max, I can choose which content I want and limit myself....but you lose it all if you lapse on PS+

I get this game and the Crew confused. which one was the one that was supposed to be free on PSN+?

This one. Still hasn't happened, claiming the servers aren't ready nor the app...my guess is it's an E3 "surprise".

I got it for cheap a little while ago to hold me over till Project CARS. The lighting is amazing and the sense of speed is I play it with the cockpit cam and no HUD too, which makes it even more awesome.

I recently read an article about that racing game with permadeath and how the creator hates racing games like GT because it's a way for people to basically circle jerking to cars and car culture and stuff that are completely unattainable

This is well worth trying, really fun arcadey/sim racer. And for the hell of it, try the first person cockpit view with no HUD. Go off the color markings on turns to know how sharp they are (green, let up a little, yellow, quick brake, red, slam the breaks). And feather that throttle

I get an error when I try to download the free trial.

Finally got around to downloading this last night and got through the expected 2gb download while playing fifa. Gave up after they required the 10 gb update lol
