this shit is giving me a headache.
I used the Logitech mx310 sexiness for years upon years, then it died and I found out its not made anymore. Tried getting it through overstock and they sent the wrong mouse.

So I went with a M$ SideWinder X3, but now the middle button has major issues with working to the point where I need a new mouse (no screws to open it up to clean it)

So, yea, I've beens earching the past few days and I just can't stand it anymore. All I really want is a back/forward button on each side of the mouse, and something symmetrical.
So, what are you guys using?

Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000, came as part of a wireless keyboard/mouse combo though. It's reliable, but I've used better scrolling wheels.

Cyborg RAT 7. It is more of a gaming mouse, and I got it as a gift. Has a back and forward button, precision aim, and side scrolling.

Logitech g400. Has back/forward buttons on the thumb side, but not symmetrical. Has a nice click to the mouse wheel and isn't restrictive(it's just a small metal wire hooked that bumps into grooves inside the mouse wheel)even if it's not 100% accurate, it's better than the ultra sensitive spongy mousewheel from the Microsoft comfort mouse I used before. Nice glide with the teflon pads, but no custom weights. It has DPI customization with default, +, and - precision buttons. The back and forward thumb buttons are programmable for games, but they are BACKWARDS for browsers. The button closer to the back of the mouse is the back button, but has the right arrow indicating "forward", and the opposite for the other button.
I spilled something on it. Even though I cleaned the parts and put it back together, the left click catches somewhere in the middle of the click as if it's rubbing against something.
These high DPI mice require all games to have mouse sensitivity at it's lowest setting, and then customizing the DPI through the mouse software.
Anyways, what really matters is how you use your mouse. Do you use the palm grip or the fingertip/claw grip? How big are these mice? How big is your hand? You may have to sacrifice the back/forward buttons on each side.
Anyways, here..

fingertip/claw
big mice
big hands
will not sacrifice love, I mean split back/forward (I use them as melee/grenade)
I also really want to stick with wired mice for some dumb reason. I just have terrible luck with wireless (losing, breaking, not syncing, etc)
i dunno, who does wireless?

Honestly, the mice you showed and the ones I found are the only ones I have ever seen that have buttons split on each side.
Okay, I found it. Choose colors, and whether to just have one big button on each side, or two split on each side.
Weight: 72 grams (0.16 lbs)
Height: 37 mm (1.5 in)
Width: 64 mm (2.5 in)
Length: 124 mm (4.9 in)
There are a couple that are 2.7" wide.

Are you sure the arrow isn't pointing back towards you?

Maybe it has one just hidden by a sticker or label.

Yeeep.
You gonna need batteries lots of batteries replacement even if you conserve that battery by turning off the mouse when you're not using it (typing, idling, etc). But I prefer it so much now that I bought 2 sets of rechargeable ones so I don't have the trouble of finding a battery replacement when the mouse dies on me while in the middle of killing robots.

They haven't made one that has a mini-usb port for charging with a l-ion battery, yet?
Jon, did you get your mouse yet? If so, what do you think?

Got it last night, absolutely love it. Lack of dpi settings is tough, 400, 800, 1600, 3200 only, but I've gotten around it. The biggest downfall is I setup a lot of macros for the M$ mouse that will no longer work for this mouse. Things like automatically finding & replacing hex in 2K rosters and all that fun weird shit I do.

I just found that wireless mouse when I was looking for a spare mouse when my wired one died because of a broken cable. The wireless probably came free from a promo of something. Better to spend only $10 for 4 rechargeable AAA batteries for the wireless mouse and other stuff that need batteries than buy a $30 wireless mouse only. I'm cheap that way.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I need a new mouse since Mad Catz is a piece of shit. Been hearing that Steelseries is a good company when is comes to mice. But I also looked at this Corsair one. It has 8 buttons just like my current one.

Check this out. Lowest prices on Amazon ever.
As always, free super saver shipping over $25.
The G400 and G500 can be shipped to Canada for approx. $10. Or you can always go pick it up yourself from the states. Living out there in crimeland/wasteland that is Surrey, should offer an easy access to the border.
