Sir Andrew, can i report someone? :|

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

Sir Andrew, can i report someone? :|

Somebody used my file to post it into other forum. It's unfair because it was my file and others think that it is him who did it. Here is the website of their forum. http://www.ulop.net/forum/4-lounge/5929 ... 0&start=60
If you search there, you will see my file. Hope i get a respond.

Why didn't you write a PM?

We can't do anything about other forums, unfortunately. Did you get credit at least?

yea, shit happens on other sites and nothing we can do about it.

all my stuff is "exclusive" to here, but it still shows up on moddingway and nbasky
Opinions are my own.

For future reference, it's definitely best to just PM one of us about issues like this.

As Pat and Jon said, not much we can do, unfortunately. If it happens here then we can obviously say something, issue warnings, hit people with bans if it comes to that, but we don't have any control over what happens at other sites. If the folks running other sites don't share our approach to modding courtesy and "credit where credit is due", all we can do is grit our teeth and bear it.

You could always include a readme file with a note that clearly identifies you as the author along with any contact details you wish to share, with something along the lines of "You can always get the latest version from: (link to the page in our Downloads section)". That way, if they're too lazy to edit any of those details upon redistributing the rosters, people will still know that you made it and be directed to the place where you're uploading and providing support for it.

You can also join that site and release your work or be humble saying you appreciate that they like your work enough to release it and ask the person releasing your work for credit. If they bitch, you can always point out that it is your work and if you get banned from that site for that, you know what kind of people you are dealing with and can stop wasting your time knowing they are just going to keep releasing work that is not theirs.

Or you can also join the site as Pdub pointed out and send a message to that site administrator and ask them to kindly remove it.That is what I did with 56nba at one time.

Just go on that site and say that it's your work. As long as they're halfway reasonable, they'll understand.
