Multi-Level or Network Marketing

Wed Aug 15, 2012 3:16 am

So I got curious on this MLM, since it was flooding my facebook with all their ads and promotions and some says it safe to do that here in the Philippines it eventually got my attention. I think the company is Global Fusion Inc. (GFI) and I recently got to talk to one of their recruiters who happened to be my friend from highschool.

So she explained to me how their system works and it’s pretty good and actually appealing when you hear you can earn BIG money in just a month. (4x my monthly salary)

So basically there are two ways you can earn. First, you can sell their products which are not sellable to be honest. Or you can try to recruit agents which you’ll get some commission and do the selling for you. Plus, if you recruit an agent you get a bonus and if that agent recruit another you’ll get another bonus so basically a Pyramid structure.

Now, I’m actually 30/90 on this (90 on not accepting this kind of part-time job). I don’t like to recruit my friends, family or love ones just for me to earn big amount of money. Even though they don't say it is a scam, it sure does look like it.

Thoughts on this guys? Do you know someone who become successful doing this kind of job?

Another name for these are pyramid schemes.

You will not actually earn any money doing this, instead you will lose lots of money and anger your family/friends if you "work" at it.

Even if you give 10% more than Lou Ferrigno.

lol I interchange it, actually 90 on not accepting it. That is what I'm worried about the feuds that I will most likely encounter from my family/friends.

Just ask if you have to give them money on some kind of startup package or deposit. If you do, scam city.

Well we do need money for a package but it is comparably small for lets say a business capital but that is what they all say right

That's what they want. To downplay your payment as if your investment is going to reap profits. As soon as you buy, your recruiter gets a nice commission, which is how the pyramid works.

"First, let me assure you that this is not one of those shady pyramid schemes you've been hearing about. No sir. Our model is the trapezoid!"

Seriously though, red flags everywhere, scam written all over it...pick whatever cliche you feel comfortable with, bottom line there will be someone making money off all of this but it's not going to be you. Friends don't do this to friends, so don't get involved and consider distancing yourself from your high school friend.

Also, if you're dividing 100% into 30% and 90%, I don't think a venture like this is going to go very well for you.

That's because there are a lot of idiots that want to be a billionaire like Bernie Madoff.
lol at trying to convince you that it's safe, why would they try hard just to convince you that.

A big red flag for these type of scams is if they're asking for some sort of investment or payment from you in order to become an employee or member of their organization. The amount of effort you must put into this to be successful (while screwing over other people) usually isn't worth it. That's usually how pyramid schemes work.

Only suckers would fall for this. Businesses of this type are time bombs. Once all of the suckers are in on this and there's no one else to recruit from which to get money from to compensate for the "return" of those who invested first, boom goes the lawsuits, confused stupid people and the money goes to the founder who would have thought of transfering the funds elsewhere to avoid audit trail.

Don't listen to them dare. Just think about all the money you will make off the people you recruit.
