Hypothetically speaking.If it were to happen,would that mean that the forums here would possibly get blocked here in the States?That would suck major ball's.

The government would LOVE for that to happen. Censorship is essentially just a form of control. This would really be a massive breach of freedom and basic human rights.

Obviously nobody wants to see child porn and shit like that, but once internet censorship gets accepted, it's all over.

The problem there, as has been mentioned a million times in debates about the Australian censorship plan, is that it's mostly distributed via P2P and private networks, so an internet filter can't do anything about it anyway (or at least, the Australian one can't. Not sure what the American plan is).

I'm not sure how likely that would be but I guess it could be possible in the worst case scenario.
