Kim Kardashian, Kris Humphries Split

Damn, just when I was starting to believe in the sanctity of marriage. Oh well, can't make a housewife out of a ho. Humphries wasn't even her first choice. She wanted Danilo Gallinari, but he sand no to her and E! Entertainment.

Kim Kardashian will file for divorce this morning, after 72 days of not-so-wedded bliss to Kris Humphries … TMZ has learned. We’re told even though the marriage was short, she will not seek an annulment. It’s a garden variety divorce, in which Kim cites “irreconcilable differences.”

We’re told the date of separation is listed as today, Oct. 31, 2011. Kim has hired disso-queen Laura Wasser, who has repped the likes of Britney Spears, Maria Shriver, Angelina Jolie, Ryan Reynolds, and Robyn Gibson, Mel’s almost ex-wife.

As we first reported, the couple has a prenuptial agreement … Kim made sure of that.

Call me cynical but one wonders if she got married simply for the spectacle and TV special. If there are irreconcilable differences 10 weeks into the marriage, perhaps a longer engagement would've been in order.

You know, while I obviously wouldn't mind their money, celebrities can keep their personal lives. Not that this stuff doesn't happen to Joe Everyman of course, it just doesn't make the news, but fame just seems a magnet for all kinds of dysfunction I'm quite happy to have no part of.

One sticking point for the couple? Currently unemployed due to the NBA lockout, Humphries has been partying up a storm on his wife's dime -- while she juggles her successful E! reality shows and business ventures.

"Kim and Kris are not getting along at all," a source tells the new issue of Us Weekly. "Kris is not drinking the Kardashian Kool-Aid, and it's causing problems."

Days before Kardashian's 31st birthday, the newlyweds "had it out!" says a family friend. "She told him he needs to do something productive. The work ethic in that family really means something. He needs to get off his ass, like, yesterday."
