Buying graphics card help

Postby formx on Thu Oct 06, 2011 12:25 pm

Hey guys. I'm going to get a new computer, and I want to know which graphics cards are good. I need a card that can play NBA 2k12 and Battlefield 3 at high settings. I heard the EVGA GTX 560 TI is a good card. Also, my budget is $200-$300.

NCIX for Vancouveries.

I recommend this. 219 + tax ain't bad, though part of sale is mail in rebate.

Yup, I know about NCIX. The price match feature on their website is pretty cool. What about this though?

I don't think you could go wrong with either of those.

But you know what I would do? I'd go to a futureshop or Best Buy and ask them to match the price if they carry the product you want to buy at the NCIX. If things don't work with the video card, then you can just simply take it back to the shop, but NCIX will charge you 15% restocking charge or whatever, so I always prefer buying stuff from other shops if possible.

Will do. But, this is a good PC right?

I'm either getting this or a PC made of parts I chose.

Pretty cool. Liquid cooling for all parts or just for CPU? Cuz there's no point then since noise lvl isn't gonna get that much reduced. Besides, you don't need Liquid cool if you not going to overclock or trying to build a silence PC. The cost is not justifiable not just yet. And I always prefer building on own by getting parts on sale week by week but if you want a PC quick, it's not an option I guess.

Yeah, I'll think I will just build my own by picking parts. Any other suggestions for a Graphics card?
