Years Playing Ball and How did you get Started...

How many years have you guys played b-ball and what made you start and how did you start? Just wondering...

I have played for 8....since I was 5... The way I got started was like this. My older sister's(kristin) best friend(shannon) already played. Than half way through there season they needed an extra player and shannon asked kristin if she would play. And I wanted to do stuff my sister's did so I wanted to play to and i started playing with my sister. Than the next season i started in the town league and i have played in the town league ever since. And I am now going into high school play this coming year but I will still play in the town league. So ya, what about u guys?

Well I voted for 6 years. I played bball here from the 8th grade (here in Brazil, the last year before starting high-school), kept on playin' it in high-school, then played two more years till I started college.

I stopped playin' it in college coz the practices were held in the exactly time when I had classes (at night)... Not that I was too skilled too,

I miss playin' and practicising basketball in an "official" way, but I still play it almost one time per weekend... Usually on Saturdays

i palyed for 4 years....but i haven't played actual ball for over a year already...

I first shot a ball when I was 4, I've been playin 15 years.

5 years and runnin', only streetball, but everyday.

I started when I was about 7/8, so I play like 8 years already.......geeez, time flies

started playing basketball when i was 7 years. now i'm 16 so ı'v been playin for 9 years

i started playing if i was 10 now i have played basketball 5 years.i play mostly streetball.

ive been playing since 6 years of age and i turn 18 years this year so i guess thats 12 years...........but only 4 of organized club ball
i prefer street cos it's way more intense but less running though (if ya play half court)

this is my fourth year! B4 that I was playing Soccer!

Im in my 8th year but its mainly competitve streetball

Six years. I was watching TV on a Saturday morning when I was 7 and was flipping through channels and saw a sport with a court and a ball with hoops. I had no idea what it was since I live in Canada and asked my mom, she said it was basketball and I said it looks like fun so a few months later I was playing in a YMCA league, which turned into the Junior Grizzlies league, which turned into Steve Nash Youth Basketball when the Grizz left town. And last year I started playing school ball.

I've been playing for 11 years now. However, I haven't played for about over a year now so I'm rusty. I started playing through my step-bro. I watched NBA at a very young age and started playing. My father is a big fan of basketball so that's how I get to watch it. Since then, I asked my dad for a hoop and he went out and got me those mini-plastic ones. That's how I got started.
