Am I the only one excited for this album? My idol (Kanye) is teaming up with Jay-Z for a collab album, it better be great.

I don't mind a collab but I wish it was Kanye only

I really thought this album would be better

don't worry, it's just the jay-z hype. i honestly think that jay z brings kanye down a level when it comes to his music. his last 2 albums were obviously going in a different direction from his earlier stuff, but the songs with jay on this last one were god awful. well, monster was good until kanye is done with his verse.

The album had it's ups and downs... Lift off was a HUGE letdown I expected more. All in all I actually like the cd, I prefer both artists alone though.

the album was bad. compared to MBDTF, Watch the Throne is just a demo tape. even Blueprint 3 is better than this.
best track is "That's my Bitch" ft. Elly Jackson with Bon Iver backing vocals. the only song that could reach MBDTF status.
disappointing tracks: "Liftoff" ft. Beyonce (Bruno Mars was rumored to be there, and i even saw his name on early tracklistings. overall, the song was just noise)
"Otis" (the second single. i thought it was like a Late Registration track, but Kanye's samples here are bad. filler track at best. :/ )
bad tracks: "H.A.M." (L.A.M.E.)
all they rap about in this album is money. sad cuz kanye and jay-z are exceptional lyricists. album artwork sucks too

I really liked "Church In The Wild", "Ni**as In Paris" and "Primetime" because of the instrumentals. But the lyrics aren't very far behind.

listened to more Watch the Throne songs. Niggas is Paris is enjoyable, but "who gon stop me" aint. i'll listen to the whole album, and i'll edit this post after.

I can ride through the whole album. Good quality music. I mean I'm not a huge Jay fan but I can tolerate him on this album. He spit some nice verses.

Grave digging maybe but i listened to this album about a month ago. Otis was fucking awesome. The rest had its moments but were pretty forgettable. But Otis' hook gets stuck in my head on a bi-weekly basis.

Same here

. It's stuck in my head right now. I think what gets me the most is the Otis Redding sample.

yeah but what gets stuck in my head a bit easier is the "what-what-whatcha need" part of that one song

"Niggas In Paris" was played last night here in Creamfields Buenos Aires. I filmed those 2 mins (mixed with Benny Benassi's "Satisfaction"). Gold.
