So who's got it and what are you playing on?

Got it on Xbox, really like it. Gymkhana is great ! I was trying to drift and spin and just could not. Checked out the controls and it seemed I was pressing the wrong button for handbrake all the time

just played a couple hours online, Gymkhana is awesome, and the party games were a lot of fun too. Problem with those modes online is you wait longer in menus than in actual gameplay. During a race the host quit and the game actually migrated hosts mid-race with no menus or anything, very nice touch there.

Unfortunately, I am getting a dx11 crash the other people have been getting.....so I'm forcing dx9 right now.

Yep, it's sexy

So one of the Party Modes is called Cat n Mouse

Essentially, 1 person on each team (up to 4 teams, limit 8 players) is in a mini cooper, everyone else in nicer cars. The minis are the only ones racing while everyone else tries to stop the others or protect their own. It's raced on normal rally/trailblazer/rallycross tracks and OMG it is the most fun I have had with a racing game.....aside from Burnout's classic crash mode.

Damn, that sounds fun. Also, what I've heard more that this one is a lot more oriented to tricks and stuff like that than to pure racing, is that true (makes it slightly less appealing to me)?

yes and no. You are forced to do at least some gymkhana training modes, but the game is a very good racing game, with this stuff tacked on to it. The focus is still on racing, and if you get first each time, I think you can progress through the career with only Rally & Trailblazer events.

These online party modes just shake things up a bit, but they aren't the focus by any means.

Is it weird that Dirt 3 runs a lot smoother than Dirt 2 on my PC?

nope, DiRT always updated itself to the latest and greatest directX and such each release, so it makes sense that its more optimized than the previous one.

Playing some Dirt 3. Need graphic mods. Can't find much on google. Anyone know of any?

Textures, lighting, stuff like that. I found "true lights ultra" mod, but it seems to have made the game a little darker.

Only good page i've found: http://www.racedepartment.com/forum/thr ... 66/page-20
