Hound's Texas Southern Tigers (5-4) Back to Earth/Upset

Hey guys, I decided to make a CH 2k8 Legacy with the Texas Southern Tigers. I will be posting 5 game recaps and be prepared, we have upsets on out side

A GOOD START


@ UT Arlington....In the beginning of the year, we traveled to Arlington to face the Mavericks. Even though we were winning for most of the game, they gave us a scare. With 5 minutes to go, our lead was down from 17 to 8. Luckily, Marc Ellis nailed a three to give us the lead for good.

vs Arkansas.....Then we went for our tourney in South Florida, and guess what? Our first game was against Arkansas! They were horrible, dominated by a SWAC team by 23? Really?

@ Temple.....We then faced Temple. All I gotta say is Temple Zone. They shut us down to only 34 points as they steamrolled us with their Temple Defense.

vs Miami.......The 3rd place game against Miami....... we fought back, but we missed threes in the clutch and lost a heartbreaker.

@ Houston.....Against Houston, lets say being down by 13 most of the game didn't matter, because we came back to win 71-62. Suck it fools.

@ Kentucky.....The reason why Digger Phelps put Kentucky on Upset Watch. We dominated Number 23 Kentucky with a final score of 72-63. We beat them so bad, that John Calipari called us a "rising Mid-Major". Pff, tell that to us when we beat Arkansas Pine-Bluff. With the win we're 4-2.... and not in the Top 25. Woo!

We were dominating by 30 plus points, until Texas got scissors and trimmed our lead to 19 by halftime. And then Texas trimmed it again, to a scary 9. We fought back and re-took the lead with a 3 pointer by Marc Ellis and then another by Junior Treasure. Texas did nail a three to make it a 8 point game, which was made by Jordan Hamilton. But that wasn't enough as we won 71-66. We're still unranked!

Analysis: Texas Southern is the best overall team, with wins over #19 Kentucky, and #23 Texas. They're not well known, but will be soon. Grambling and Jackson State are the only other teams that are above .500. The worst conference is right here. Seven 2-win teams. How pathetic is that? Maybe that's why TSU is getting nothing in the Top 25. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if a below .400 team gets the Automatic Bid from our conference. Horrendous....

Back to Earth, really frustrated at the games I had. Mad at the team for sucking, so mad at the Purdue game had to sim to end... yeah... All you need to know is that we're 3rd in the SWAC (Shitty Wonders Around Conference) Jackson State (7-5) and Grambling (4-2) are ahead of me.

MAJOR UPSET: NUMBER 4 KANSAS BEAT BY UPSTART EASTERN WASHINGTON


Coach Lewis' words: "That was a huge upset. No one has really noticed the Eagles, coach Kirk Earlywine has really lead his team well. 9-2? That's one damn good record.
