Iron Man 2

Anyone else see the trailer? I personally think it's going to be a letdown but that War Machine cameo is going to make this movie too hard to pass up.

Same here. I always thought that Terrence Howard will make the Rhodes character better.

Link to the trailer here.

Yep, Cheadle it is. Preferred Howard instead of him as Howard seem to have the built of Rhodes. Cheadle looks skinny, unless he buffed himself up for that one.

Saw the trailer and disappointed already at the War Machine cameo. War Machine is supposed to be all out firepower that can bring hell on earth. War Machine could have easily destroyed all those things being shot at without the help of Iron Man.
Plus points if they use AC/DC's War Machine in the movie soundtrack.
Also got me thinking on which actor would best resemble Nick Fury instead of the 'Ultimate' version that Samuel Jackson is based on.

Well obviously War Machine can crap on a bunch of robots 8 times over, but I don't really see why War Machine wouldn't be with Iron Man. You're not going to give a dude a massive killing machine and just let him do his own thing with it.

War Machine's got a pretty cool power in his own graphic novel (which recently ended I think), it's too bad it's written so terribly.

Haven't seen it yet but my friends who are not even into Iron Man (or comics in general) say it sucks. I'm still going to watch it to see if that's really the case.

Meh, I thought it was alright. I enjoyed the first one for what it was, and I thought this was entertaining. Not particularly memorable and pretty stupid, but definitely entertainment. Was funny to see the lack of real violence though. It seems all PG-13 action movies have an abundance of broken glass, and this was no exception. Cracked up when the final battle took place in a fucking glass dome. Garry Shandling was also hilarious just by being himself.

I thought Kick-Ass was better.

And people around those shattered glass didn't really looked harmed at all. Blame McMahon! Oh, wrong thread.

From now on I'm going to watch Marvel films on a bigger theater where guards don't shoo viewers waiting for the post-credits scene.

i guess if you were looking for something original, you're not going to like this sequel. even though"mikey" favreau followed the same formula as the 1st but a little more over the top (matrix reloaded, anyone?), it was desined to disappoint. the 1st iron man set the bar to high.
