Problem with Photobucket videos?

Postby TomCat on Fri Dec 04, 2009 8:55 pm

Most likely a noob question, but here it goes. Okay I've been using Photobucket forever to post pictures in posts for Dynasty/Association stories or whatever and had no problems and now I'm trying to post a video which I've uploaded onto Photobucket with no problems but I'm having trouble posting it into one of my posts. Just wondering if it is possible to post videos from Photobucket, and if so, how to do it? Thanks..

EDIT: I just went ahead and used youtube to embed the video because I have no problems with that.. Still wondering if it's possible to embed photobucket vids though..

take the flash embed code
Code: Select all
<embed width="600" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullscreen="true" allowNetworking="all" wmode="transparent" src="http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid0006.photobucket.com/albums/0006/pbhomepage/video4a/panelpanda.flv">

copy the entire HTTP link
Code: Select all
http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid0006.photobucket.com/albums/0006/pbhomepage/video4a/panelpanda.flv

then add our flash embed code
Code: Select all
[flash=600,361]http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid0006.photobucket.com/albums/0006/pbhomepage/video4a/panelpanda.flv[/flash]

Opinions are my own.

There was a problem playing your video

The video has an invalid format - Unable to load video

Edit: Worked second time around.

I've just got a white screen. That's the problem I've been having. Pretty sure I followed instructions..

Code: Select all
<embed width="600" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullscreen="true" allowNetworking="all" wmode="transparent" src="http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid961.photobucket.com/albums/ae91/TomCat5424/Game1.flv">

Code: Select all
http://s961.photobucket.com/albums/ae91/TomCat5424/?action=view&current=Game1.flv

Code: Select all
[flash=600,361]http://s961.photobucket.com/albums/ae91/TomCat5424/?action=view&current=Game1.flv[/flash]

you gotta add the
Code: Select all
http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=
before the flv address
