Short stories, Screenplays, Comics, Novels

Postby EGarrett on Thu Jul 03, 2003 4:24 am

Hey...I know that a couple people on this board like to write short stories and other type things (Shane for one.) I'm into screenwriting and comic book writing. A problem I always have is that there aren't enough people for me to bounce ideas off of or talk to about stories.

So what I decided to do was get together all the people I know who were into writing and liked to talk about stories...be it screenplays...short stories...novels or comics...and have a mailing list. This way people can send mails out with their ideas and get some more honest opinions back from people who don't know them.

I also figure I could get a small group of people into a chat room or two each week to talk about story ideas.

If anyone is interested in joining the group...you can PM me...reply here...or e-mail me at Cycklops@aol.com. Let me know which kind of stuff you're interested in. Thanks.

EG,

I'd love to do it, but I'm keeping what I've done for my book underwraps -save for a few friends I trust - primarily b/c I haven't read anything like it, and I just don't want anyone to steal my idea. :) Eugene gave what I had a read a while ago, but I've done about 20 pages since then (lol, only 40 so far...keep getting distracted when I start writing, get out of the mood...)

Feel free to bounce the ideas off me, though. You know I won't mince words, so it'll be good feedback. :) Add me to MSN, if you want, and we can chat...I'm an English major (if you didn't know), so I'm fairly well read and I've taken enough classes (with more to come...:S) to at least give a decent opinion...we could pry help each other out. :)

Strange how dreams are always in the third person...

Why is it strange that dreams are always on the 3rd person? Of course some happen on the 1st person too...
