Boxing

- Since the fight between Mayweather and Marquez is nearly upon us who do you think will win ?
- Who's the real Pound per Pound best boxer out there ? Mayweather, Pacquiao or Marquez ? ( for me it's Marquez ).
- Cotto v Pacquiao ( Pacquiao still not starting to practice )
- Opinions in Diaz-Malignaggi bout
- Does Kelly Pavlik really has a infected (I don't remember what part of his body again but think it's his palm) or it's just to get some time off ?

Manny is busy doing his lame-ass sitcom.

Picking sitcom over practice in a bout against Miguel Cotto is just plain arrogance .

Have you seen an episode of the sitcom? Hell even his mother is being pushed as a comedian. Poor I say.

No, is it "On Air" already? On what channel? GMA7?

Just looking at her makes me laugh, just like Borat, even if they won't tell a joke or do anything funny just looking at their faces makes me laugh.

It'll be a boring match.... primarily due to the fact that Mayweather is in it and both are defensive/counter-puncher pugilists

Nah, it'll be entertaining, (hope so) it's a Mayweather bout!
Both are defensive? Yeah, sort of. (acting=wrestling)

I meant they're both opportunist.. I despise Mayweather so I'll go with the Mexican although I'm not sure of his chances... Floyd is bigger, hope Marquez' wits outdo that pompous narcissist

I'm going to go with Mayweather on this one. He's faster, more mobile and he's not a forward forward puncher (Marquez' Weakness). Marquez struggles when he's up against boxers that don't always go forward-punch-forward, he's a Counter-Puncher ! I mean he struggles against boxers whose either lacks aggression (yeah) or a mobile side-to-side-fighter-running-around-then-quickly-hit- you-in-the-face-if-you-lost-focus type of guy which is a lot more like Money Mayweather.

That's why I said it'll be boring.. they'll be waiting for each other's punches for them to strike

I was really disappointed with how Mayweather-Marquez turned out. I seriously thought Marquez would've put up a better fight as I believed he was being severely underrated going into the fight.

Cotto vs Pacquiao should hopefully be a much better fight despite the under card looking less than impressive.

Tyson went emotional on that one.

JBreezey, which boxer are you rooting for?

Im torn between the 2 personally... Being Pinoy-Aussie my heart always sides to Pacquaio. The man means SO much for our people and I always love our barbeques and big get-togethers when he fights (San Miguels for all!).

BUT being a boxing fan. I always seem to root for the underdog. I'm also a BIG fan of any boxer who can deliver devastating body blows like Cotto (there's isn't that many good ones left in the sport these days), his body punches are down right scary. Cotto does have the natural weight advantage coming into the fight and Pacquiao does not tends take big hitters all too well. That being said though, you know what they say... speed kills... but speed AND power destroys, and that is exactly what Pacquiao brings.

I say Pacquiao wins via decision, it won't be an easy fight for either fighter.

It's just weird to see the "Ear Biting, Ultra Violent" Mike Tyson cry.

JBreezey, I also don't expect a TKO here. Cotto can take punches but he can't win if he just take punches. Pac's just too fast for him. This bout will be like, v Diaz and v Dela Hoya but without KD's or a KO.

I was weary about Pacquiao's decision to stay in Baguio to train for the fight (I'm a believer of 'coach knows best'), but seeing what his training partners have been saying about him has relieved me a little. Jose Castillo said that he couldn't see the left and that even its hitting harder than ever (Y)

That reminds me of Mayweather Sr. saying: "Ricky will knock out Pacquiao in four rounds".
One question, if Clottey won the bout against Miguel Cotto, is he would've been the one to fight Pacquaio?

What's with the urine drinking thingy? Thought it was just for Mexicans? (Tradition)
By the way, I'm way surprised with the bout. I never thought Miguel Cotto would end up like that.

I guess the WrestleMania match between Floyd and Manny is abound. Floyd will have Triple H in his corner, while Batista sides with Manny. Then as the bout goes, Shane Mosley will interfere and hit Floyd with a steel chair handing Floyd a win over Manny via disqualification.

No wonder he looks pissed. :rimshot:
Cotto has that pissed off confusing look, I don't whether it was because of the weight loss or trying to look badass. Now I know.

Don't forget Undertaker and Christian to be in Manny's side.
