here we go again
IMO, 360 is a lot better than a PS3. If you are looking for immediate fun, get a 200 dollar 360, enjoy your free month of XBL, and if you dont like it, sell it. PS3s cost way too much and
still dont have a good enough library to back it up. But they are supposed to get a price cut this fall anyway.
360s have a better community and it is really easy to keep in touch with friends who have 360s since you can easily jump from one game right into their multiplayer game and can chat while in separate games. PS3 still cant do that.
If you like the PS3 exclusives, go for it, they do have some good games. But if you just want to get into the NG gaming scene, the 360 is a lot easier to cope with and has a lot more games to back it up.
So like i said, I would get a cheap 360, see if you like it, and if not, you aren't losing a lot of money when you sell it back. If you do like it, pick up a HDD for cheap and wait on a year's membership for XBL for 30 bucks. Buy.com is going that deal right now. Oh and the red ring and E74 issues are pretty much fixed in the models on the shelves. If they break, fixing them is free and you get it back in 2 weeks. If your PS3 dies, you are SOL
A PS3, which costs 400 bucks and you only get 130 bucks trade in credit for it at gamestop.
I own both, if you PS3 fans wanna fight or if you got questions I'd be glad to give what I think is an unbiased answer.
