Am I getting a fair trade

Hey guys. I might be trading my laptop for a custom desktop and I just wanted to see if I am getting the better of this deal. I have a toshiba Satellite A205 laptop. It has Windos XP Pro, Intel duel core processor at 1.6 ghz, 120 gb hard drive, 1 gig of ram and intel graphics driver for windows mobile. And this is what is in his:Biostar Motherboard P4m89-m7b, 3.4GHz Intel Prescott, NEW! 2GB DDR2 667/5300 RAM, EVGA GeForce 8400 GS 512MB 64-bit GDDR2 PCI Video Card, NEW! 250GB Western Digital ATA Hard Drive , NEW! LG DVD/CD-RW Combo w/ LightScribe, NEW! New Black Case w/ glow stick, NEW! 480W Power Supply, XP Pro restore disk with all drivers included. He put in a network card for me. He also has a couple of other video cards including a ASUS 512MB 940. I am meeting him in a couple of hours to do the exchange. So I don't know what I should do. Any help would be appreciated.

Honestly, I wouldn't. Laptop usually holds its value despite of it ages, but desktop loses value rather more with age that comes with it. The specs on desktop doesn't really sound like much improvement over your laptop, since newer programs/games will ask for higher requirements anyways. If then why not keep the laptop for its portability. But then I could be wrong, if it's in nice new antec case and with brand named power supply and so on, maybe it's worth it.

Think about it. 2GB DDR2 = worthless, GeForce 8400 = worthless, 250GB HD = $30?, DVD/CD RW = $25 for new one, Black Case = ??? depends on brand and model, glow stick = piece of shit, 480W power supply = depends on brand and model but approximately $45, XP restore disk = piece of crap, network card = ??? wireless??? G or N??? or just ethernet??? which means probabaly piece of crap.

I think your laptop is about $250 or more in value. The desktop I wouldn't buy anything more than $100.
