My apologies. I didn't see it at 7 am, must of been still half asleep.

But I like it how I was removed as a mod from there a while back and there's been no attempt to install anyone to take over that section.

Would be nice to see somebody take over it. 2007 & 2008 induction classes are overdue.

Well despite what the silent admins will verify, there was a thread in the exclusive members lounge made by me about getting the 2008 nominations under way but without Jae, and Andrew not wanting Ben to be a part due to him having to be given access to the members lounge.

Then I was removed from that forum, and removed as a mod from the Hall of Fame and now it's been moved, all with no reason given for any of these actions.

In short, they may as well just delete it. Jao hasn't been at NLSC long enough to really be a part of the panel and to vote people in. Andrew voted for himself in the voting, so we all know how much he respects the place. Ben is not welcome there (not my decision) and neither am I.

Who else could take it over?

This is a blind post, I am telling you I haven't checked to see who is in the HoF and who isn't and I didnt check that other thread before posting this.

If I haven't been here long enough to even nominate, nevermind get in, who has been around that should be on a panel / get in?

I know you haven't been. If you had been here since 2000, I'd have no hesitation working with you.

However, the old panel of Hall of Fame was myself, Jae and Andrew. Jae is on hiatus, Andrew voted for himself to make sure he had a higher vote % then Ben and it's obvious that I'm not wanted to do the job as pointed out by my previous post.

There isn't really anyone else. Jeffx maybe, but he doesn't post all that much. If he is willing, I'd love to have him on board but its a pretty big ask.

Change it to one person a year, we don't have enough people deserving to do five a few more times in my opinion. (And I'd argue we didn't for 2006. I certainly shouldn't have won save one persons vote, or been part of the first real class. I think it should've been Lutz, Tim and Brien along with Andrew and Jae as a "first" class. Then we could've done something like Matthew in 2007, Jeffx in 2008, etc.)

Actually, feh, just throw Jeffx in for 2007. And do one at the start of the year here for 2008.

Andrews response on this has been typical.

Ben, while that's a good idea and all, but nobody who has already posted or expressed interest in the HoF has the capabilities to implement this.

The threads could still be created, or is that forum locked to not allow any non-mods to make threads?

That list is growing, but wouldn't he see the other response not from me? Jao, The X and Ben have all replied here.

But oh well. I guess there's other more important things going on in this community, like posting in the WWF thread.

I like benji's idea of 1 person per year, otherwise half the forum gets inducted....now it's just a matter of putting egos aside & getting this back on track....I've always thought it was a great idea & I still do....I'd like to see a section on site where guys like Tim & Lutz have their "jerseys" retired with either year of induction or so on, & then a little something about them....it's only a small token appreciation, but what those guys did makes the place (unfortunately not the current state of the game) what it is today....I remember back in the day (like 1998 I think) requesting changes to NLSC rosters & making some suggestions....back then, it's just what was needed....I remember adjusting rosters myself for offline leagues....

anyways, enough of nostalgia....let's get this back on track....

I didn't reply at first because Jao answered the question to the point. I haven't replied to since because I've been unsure of my response. I've tried to put forth my position on these matters before and it seems all that happens is that I continue to cop an earful of abuse and frankly I don't find it very fair to put up with that, let alone constructive. But here it is.

I don't remember voting for myself, least of all to spite Ben or anyone else but if I did then I certainly can't defend that kind of egotism. If my induction is at all tainted, I have no problem being removed from the Hall of Fame. If I deserve to be in there at all, it probably shouldn't be while I'm active anyway. We are very open to keeping the Hall of Fame alive and Ben's suggestion is a very sensible one. Some other things have taken priority and there are issues to be worked out first but we are definitely receptive of the suggestions and would like the HOF to continue.

That's about all I have to say. I don't think that ugly public scenes solve anything though and I can't work with anyone who's going to be abusive towards me. But, if anyone wants to discuss the matter further and talk arrangements and the like with me in an amicable matter, please get in touch with me. There's no benefit in this turning into a big public flame.
