This forum thankfully doesn't have any restricting rules on what can and can not discuss, just the way you initially presented the original post is messed up.
Before this thread "disturbing" was Tyson being a prostitute, random videos, or the guy who got his penis stuck in a metal bench. And honestly, if I were to think of you posting something disturbing, war pictures would be the last thing I think you would post.
In pretty much all previous wars/conflicts everything was distant for Americans and others who weren't living in a battle area. We would hear about atrocities around the world but the most we ever got for media was commercials for WWII and Vietnam war videos.
(this isnt directed at you Jackal, this seems to be a general thought by those who viewed these type pictures)
Now with the internet being available all over the world and the seemingly general need to use shock tactics to "educate" those who truly have no idea what is going on in Darfur, Palestine or Iraq/Afghanistan so that they actually care about what is going on.
Ignorance is bliss, especially when some of us have the luck & opportunity to not have to deal with it and can live our lives happily without getting depressed that Israel is bombing the fuck out of Hamas territories because of (in comparison) little RPG fire.
So basically what I am trying to say is that this is a 13+ forum. And while you, me, and others may be able to look at those pictures in context and get a full understanding from them, others who haven't matured yet will look at those pictures, see true heartbreak that can never be replicated in a movie that they have seen, and can just shut down and require therapy to get back on their feet. They don't need to see that stuff, especially when they probably don't know what they are clicking on.

It's understandable, I should've known (and did to a certain extent) when posting it. Mandichs "ooh andrew save me from the bad man posting pictures" attitude sort of set me off.
Anyways, was a heartbreaking series of photos and I cared to share it with the few that saw beyond the gruesomeness of it and will carry whatever they got out of it with them for the future.
