I'm not familiar with immigration programs and the like so I couldn't tell you much about that, but in my opinion food prices are reasonably expensive. Needless to say, you'd want to be earning a decent wage if you were to live in Sydney or one of the other capital cities as the cost of living is much higher.

okay, and what about average salary in your country?! real estate prices? as far as i can imagine your country has minimum import food, most part (90% a guess) should be made right in the place!

Living in Sydney isn't as expensive as many people make it out to be. If you rent with 2 or 3 other room-mates, it will cost you around 100- 150 a week in rent which isn't bad at all.

Diddy, have you been here before? If not I highly recommend you visit before you come here to live permanently.

The average salary probably is around $40,000 for entry level positions (full time of course). If you want to buy a house, then you're talking some big numbers here in Sydney, but if you have a wife/ long time girlfriend that works it can be done.

Alot of our processed food is actually imported, as most of our own stuff is exported. We still have alot of fresh food from Australia though.

Get in touch with the Australian embassy in your country, or http://www.migrationint.com.au/australiavisafaq.asp about what immigration programs are in place.
