I just "discovered" yesterday that this is coming out. It looks (and as a concept - sounds) cool, but I have my doubts about the "live the life of an NBA star" part... Seems to me a bit like an extra gimmick that's supposed to make people buy this game instead of the various other NBA games out there. So you play the other "baller" for his house etc. - but then what? Do you get to drive his cars around a virtual city? I doubt it...
You know what would be
really cool? A game that is a cross between "Vice City", "NBA Street" and "The Sims"! You'd start the game by choosing one of the NBA players as well as his basic attire (shoes, jerseys, baggy jeans, shirts, jewelry etc.). Then you'd have total freedom to roam around authentic cities like NYC and Philly, maybe completing some missions. Around the cities there would be authentic street ball courts, where you could go just as a spectator or to participate in a game. This would be the NBA Street part... By winning games (among other things, like signing hip hop recording contracts

) you'd get money, which you could then spend on buying bigger and bigger houses, whips, dubs and clothes etc. The houses would naturally be customizable in design.
