What you do on Friday nights

I've been noticing that this place is pretty much dead on Friday nights, so it's safe to assume that most of you go do something that doesn't involve the internet.

So what do you guys generally do on Friday nights?

Get together and play multi-player console games? Go to a friend's house to party or play poker? Go out drinking at bars? Go to a movie with a significant other? Curl in a blanket and watch porn in your parents' basement? Go camping every other weekend?

friday night is poker night for me. i usually spend one week playing poker tournaments online and the next week heading out somewhere to play. either way its always about poker for me on fridays. took 8th last night btw in a tourny with 931 people

Meh I usually tend to do alot of different things since Friday is the only day I 100% have off of work. Mostly go to movies with some friends or to TGI Fridays to eat dinner, never anything special. I'm not the party kind of guy I hate to dance... but I heard college parties have nothing to do with dancing nd have all to do with getting trashed so I can't wait till september.

My Friday nights usually aren't all that eventful, though this past Friday I held a bit of a gettogether for my close circle of friends. We used to head into town of a Friday or Saturday night but we're all kind of over that now, if we all go out we tend to just meet up for dinner and maybe a couple of beers if the mood strikes us.

I work graveyard shifts, so I am pretty much at work or asleep Friday nights. I usually make a habit to check the forum while I am eating breakfast, though. You never know who wants to be banned.

At my old day job, a couple co-workers and I would go drinking either to bars and clubs. Sometimes we would go to hooters, sometimes we would go back to someone's apartment and drink and play card games. A few times to a strip club.

Cyanide, since you noticed not many people are on during Friday nights, you must be at home online. What do you do?

I'm home Friday nights, usually relaxing after the long week. I'm tellin' ya, CAD takes a lot out of you.

So yea, either relaxing, or I've got the guys here playing something splitscreen on the 360.

Same here, I used to go out and do stuff almost every thursday-friday-weekend, but you realized when you got a job and you get older that you can't really do that anymore. I fall asleep in front of the TV like a grandpa now...

Some nights I'll be out with my gf to a movie/rent a movie, or visit family, but after that's all done, I got the whole night to myself so I'm usually on the computer, playing games or browsing the internet. I'm not much of an outgoing person as I used to be, like some of our working people here.

Depends. I'm not one of those "IT IS FRIDAY, so I must go to the horrible bars in this town to justify my existance" people. If nothing, then there's probably my favorite night of TV:

Off The Record.
The Soup.
Psych.
Red Eye. (If Joe Biden doesn't screw things up.)
(Monk probably too.)

I play multiplayer PC games while partying at my house by drinking beer by myself, after that I watch a porn movie because I consider the porn 'actress' my significant other. I have a great life. Existence justified.


I unwind from the week that was by sleeping or doing something counter-productive. Take that society standards!

Friday nights hmm...

I'm more of the sleeping guy on Friday nights. I have to adopt to the teaching schedule at work, since my class dismissal time is at 7:30PM. Travel time back home takes like 2 hours. During Saturdays my class starts at 7:30AM so I really don't have time to do anything great on Friday nights.

My Friday nights vary. I'm a moody person by nature, so it really depends on how I'm feeling at that moment.

I don't have a fixed thing to do on Friday night, nor am I the type that says yay, it's friday, let's party. I am glad the weekend has arrived, but given I work at 6 am on Saturdays and spend most of the morning/afternoon in the gym on Sunday, it's hardly much of a "weekend".

I also don't drink anymore so that also plays a part. Pointless to go barhopping when you don't drink. I do tend to frequent some disco's just for the atmosphere of happy people and just having a general good time, but not that I do it every friday night.

Some fridays I go out, some fridays I catch a movie (although I tend to try and catch my movies during the week, Fridays are so busy and the general dumbness of movie audiences over here just ticks me off)...or I just chill at home with my sisters + brother in law who come every Friday.

All in all it just varies. Oh...and porn is a must too. Life is just so much better with porn.

I know what you mean, I used to work Saturday mornings and you do miss out on that weekend euphoria on Friday nights. On the plus side, under that roster I didn't work again until Tuesday so I still had a weekend.

Indeed, the people that actually have Sat-Sun off have this aura of relief around them, you just feel it.

If I really feel like heading out on Friday, I just head out and then pull an all nighter and go straight to work. (Since I don't drink, hardly a problem.)

Ah, I work again on Monday night, so I guess you could say Sunday is my "off" day.

sometimes pubs, sometimes caraoke partyes, sometimes going with wife and rest of family to the country side!

On Fridays I have basketball games, so first I'm playing, then I go home because I have school on Saturday morning until December...

well now it seems saturday and monday have joined fridays in being guarenteed poker nights, i keep this up my wife might just get made(though she loves poker herself)

sleep early (8pm) and wake-up late (10am)... i only enter the forums when i'm at work...

I have school on Saturdays too, so I can't really afford to get home late. I usually go to the movies or to a random pub and play pool (which I really suck at). Then there's the occasional date, or the times when I have a test on Saturday and have to study.

On friday nights I make an extra effort not to be on the nlsc by spending time on other forums so I don't look like a loser while no one else is on here.

I'm either out clubbing and partying or just chilling with a couple of friends. Just trying to have a good time and get my mind off studying and all that stuff.
