ANyone interested in this? I'm going to revamp the scoring system so if anyone has a suggestion let me know and also let me know a time convenient for draft.

looking to revenge myself from the championship game defeat

good time would be the sunday before the first game, which is august 31. could go earlier.

the time itself depends on where the majority of the players live, but i will be fine for anything that is between 4-9 PM Eastern Time Zone

sweet. I'm down again. i was waiting for you to mention it. i think i got 2nd last year. I feel like getting 100 yds should be just as good as a touchdown. I had Tony Gonzalez last year and got screwed as he racked up the yards but not the TDs.

i wouldn't mind a draft time that accomodated the Aussies. I'm up usually pretty late every night (like 3AM PST or 6AM EST) so that would put it in the evening for the Aussies if my calculations are correct.

and yes it is yahoo

Qballer, the only problem I have with that is certain QB's and RB's value will be off the charts. Can you imagine Brady's value last season... but maybe if I lower the qb throwing td value to 4 or 5 points, with throwing 100 yards, then maybe that will even it out.

The last thing I want is one position to be 2 or 3 times more valuable the any other position. But we'll work something out...

As for the draft, I'd prefer having it on a saturday morning here/ friday night in America. But the way things are going here, I doubt we'll get that far. We have 4 people so far :/

Was it the 6 points per TD that everyone was angry about last year? 4 is probably better. I'm up for it too, will not be taking Frank Gore this time under any circumstances. Can I keep Adrian Peterson?

I want to put 4 points per TD for RB and QB (and maybe defenses), and keep it as 6 for WR/TE. Thoughts?

Over half the teams in the league are splitting carries between two backs...they're taking enough of a hit once you get past the top tier of RBs.

So what do you suggest then? 4 points for all td's?

4 for passing and 6 for rushing is pretty much standard as far as I know.

I'd say those would have to be higher because they are harder to get. well at least defensive TDs. maybe 6 for both receiving & defensive TDs?

I'm sure we could get a league of at least 6-8 people going if we recruit the right people... maybe even reach out to guys that stopped posting like airgordon

Count me in, a fantasy football noob. There's no better time to start and learn like now.

I'm out of the NFL loop, I'll probably get raped at the draft and trades.

Are these adjustments from the default or from last year? I still say 4 for a passing TD, and those bonuses seem kind of over the top, especially for 100 yard rushing.

Adjustments from last year. I wanted to give a 10 point bonus for 100 yards to give incentives for players who have RB's who have the majority of carries but not alot of goaline touches.

Basically, what I wanted to do was instead of lowering the qb production, I wanted to make it so the other categories were lifted upto that level. If you guys want it differently, it can be changed.

But if you get a guy going over 100 yds, what justifies him getting triple the score he would normally get? This will just screw over people who end up with running backs that are only getting ~55% of the carries.

I wish we would just use the standard scoring, then I don't have to reevaluate my entire draft order.

No it doesn't! Good god, where did you pull that from? Having the 100 yard bonus is to make sure starting players who don't get goaline touches are still valuable players.

This attitude is typical of you. It doesn't matter if the scoring system (appears) to be fair, if it's an inconvenience to you, you oppose it. In a dream world for you, you'd probably want 6 first round draft picks as well.
