Private messages

One of the other users and I have been doing some private messaging...subject is Madden '05 dynasty. There were no issues until July 15th. From July 15th through today, all my outgoing PM's are gathered in the outbox and are not being pushed through. I imagine the other user is in the same boat, as I have received no new PM's since that day either. Is anyone else having the same PM issues? Can an administrator address is there is a stoppage of PM's throughout the forum or if I am having a unique problem? What should I do to have this PM issue resolved? Thanks.

There are no issues with the private messages. If they're still in the Outbox, it means the other user hasn't checked their messages yet; they remain undelivered until then. I've been sending and receiving messages without any problems up to and including today and no one else has reported any problems so I'd say that's all it is; they haven't collected their messages yet.

Thanks for the quick reply, Andrew. I was wondering, though, wouldn't the PM's I send move from the outbox to the sentbox and just sit in the sentbox until the other user checks his PM's? It seemed that the fact the PM's are stuck in the outbox and not in the sentbox suggested an issue. Does it only go to the sentbox after the other user reads the PM?

No, they remain in the Outbox (where they can be edited or deleted) until the user logs in and checks their messages, at which point they'll be moved to the Sentbox.

No worries at all. You can also edit messages while they're in the outbox.
