Depending on which AFL the original poster was referring to, most likely either the Australian Football League which is the professional league of Australian Rules Football or the Arena Football League, the indoor equivalent of the NFL.

Aussie Rules Football is fairly different to rugby, but it's definitely more like rugby than soccer.

Go the Hawks! I still think Cats will win but hope the Hawks get up to prove that Geelong are beatable. Anyone actually goin? i went to both Eagles grand finals in 05, 06 the emotions i felt from each game were so very different lol.

Those two shanks by Mooney on either side of half-time were huge (5m and 25m out?!). Hawthorn had a really good gameplan (avoiding the big contests, keeping the Geelong midfield away from possession) and the Cats didn't adjust well enough to it. Their tagging in the last quarter wasn't desperate enough, they gave away too many easy marks IMO.

The rush behinds thing is really starting to tick me off though. It's being done more frequently and seems to easy to get out of jail in that way.
